Napa-angat ako ng tingin kay Jewel, ang secretary ko. Kitang-kita ko kung paano niya ako pinanlakihan ng mata at palihim na nginunguso ang katabi niya.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Rubio! I really forgot your here. Can we please postpone this meeting? I'm not feeling well, Mr. Rubio. I'll be the one to come over to your company as a peace offering for my unprofessional behavior, sir." Paghingi ko ng paumanhin sa kaharap ko. The man in front of me nodded and still faced me with a smile.
He is Mr. Briel Rubio, the CEO of Isla Jardin group of companies.and he's asking for my partnership for Christ's sake!
A group of companies is asking me? My company to be partnered by them is a big catch, but knowing I'm not in the mood to talk right now with various thoughts running inside my pretty head, I guess this is a bye bye partnership for a great opportunity.
Shit, it's gonna be wasted.
Tumayo si Mr. Rubio at humarap sa akin. Despite of my actions, still he was composed like I didn't cut out our meeting. He's supposed to be pissed, right? Ang irresponsible kong kausap tapos parang di siya naaapektuhan ng katangahan ko. Why did I even go on with this meeting kung marami namang bumabagabag sa isip ko.
I sighed inwardly.
"Don't worry, Madam Sarmiento. I guess your not really feeling way and oh wait." Nagulat ako ng bigla niyang nilapit ang mukha niya sa mukha ko. Nahigit ko ang hininga ko ng ilang layo nalang ang mukha namin sa isa't-isa.
What the hell is he doing?
The next thing I knew he's whispering to my ear.
"Can we please talk another time and not here, please. Your secretary pissed the hell out of me." Pagkatapos noon tumayo siya ng tuwid at binalingan si Jewel na ngayon ay nanlilisik ang mata niya kay Mr. Rubio.
O-Okay? Did I miss something?
"Uhmm...Jewel? Can you please get me and Mr. Rubio a frappe in Belle's restaurant? A peace offering. I'm sure Mr. Rubio will love the frappe made by our best friend, right?" Saad ko kay Jewel na ngayon ay nagtatakang binalingan nako.
Kitang-kita ko talaga kung paano bumuo iyong anong-sinabi-niya-sayo look niya. I just nod at her and that's the sign na tumayo na siya.
"Fine." Bago siya lumabas sa office nakita ko kung paano niya inirapan si Mr. Rubio na nakangiting tinitingnan siya. Okay. May nahahalata na talaga ako. Is the two of them knows each other. Ah gosh. Laking sumasakit ang ulo ko.
Napahawak ako sa sintido ng nakaramdam ng hilo.
"Hey! Fuck! Are you okay?"
Hindi ko alam kung ba't biglang kumulo ang dugo ko. Really? He's asking me if I'm okay eh kitang-kita niya nga kung paano ako Humawak sa ulo ko. Ah! Why am I being irritable, lately? Is it because of that man? God!
"Do I look like okay to you, Mr. Rubio?"
The hell I care even he's the CEO of the most well-known company in this country. Damn him. Mas lalong kumukulo dugo ko sa kaniya.
"Shit. I'm so sorry. That's so stupid for me to ask. Okay, okay. I'll take you to the hospital right now." Akmang bubuhatin na niya ako ng bigla nagdilim ang paligid ko.
