Chapter 09: Talk

"THAT'S GOOD. So paano? I'll go na. Baka hindi ko maabutan iyon." I kissed my child's forehead and also Rick.

"Just call me kapag may problema ah?"

"Yes, Brother."

Lumabas na ako sa kuwarto niya and I went downstairs. Mom and Dad are in General Santos City right now. They flew last night at nakapag-paalam na din ako. They'll be back in two weeks for there business trip.

After I ate my breakfast I brush my teeth and put my lipstick. I grab my keys and sling bag in the kitchen counter.

I went out in the house and went inside my car and drove to Mama and Papa's house. I called them yesterday afternoon and then they said that Szion is in their house. Good.

It's nine in the morning but the traffic isn't that heavy. Thirty minutes had passed and I'm here outside their house. I can see three cars in their garage. So, he's here.

I checked my face in the mirror and wala talagang pinagbago. Ganda ko parin.

Akmang lalabas na ako sa driver's seat ng biglang tumunog ang phone ko. Kinuha ko ito sa dalang sling bag and checked it.

"An unknown number..." Nobody knows this number except my family. I have different phones with different sim cards. This number is only for my parents and Rick. Iba din ang ginagamit ko sa company so how come someone knows my personal number?

Hinayaan ko lang itong mag ring. It ring three times and in the fourth time I tap the green button. Pinakinggan ko ang kabilang linya pero there's no one there.

Really? Tatawag and then hindi magsasalita? Ayaw mo? Edi ako nalang.

"Who's this?" I answered in a little bit serious tone. Nobody answered in the other line but then the call is on going.

Okay? Nakakainis na ah.

"Alright. If you have nothing to say I'll hang out this ca—,"

"Honey...."

Bumilos ang tibok ng puso ko. That voice....I knew that voice...I missed that voice....He called me honey....Oh God.

"I miss you." Napansandal ako at pinikit ang aking mata. I don't know kung bakit iyon ang lumabas sa bibig ko. I'm afraid that he'll down me. Natatakot ako sa nga sasabihin niya.

"Me too." He answered on the other line. I opened my eyes. He missed me.

"Szion? Can we talk?" After a second he spoke. "I'm going downstairs. I'll be driving your car. Wait me there." And that he ended up the call.

Isinilid ko ang phone sa sling bag ko at lumabas sa driver's seat. Pumanta ako sa kabila at sumakay.

I fastened my seatbelt. Okay..Hoo. Calm down Kendrah. Szion will be here any min–

I heard the car's door opened and he went in.

"Shit." Oh no. Tinititigan ko ang katabi ko na ngayon ay masamang nakatingin sa akin. Gulp.

"Don't curse woman." Okay... So kani-kanina lang may endearment pa siya, ngayon woman na lang? Tsk. Kainis ah.

Inirapan ko ito at binaling ang tingin sa labas ng bintana. "You startled me." I said a little bit annoyed. Kita ko sa peripheral vision ko na nakatingin siya sakin.

Pinaandar na niya ang kotse and I don't know where we're going. Bahala siya. Ahh..Kumukulo dugo ko ah.

Minuto na ang lumipas ngunit wala parin kaming imik sa isa't-isa. Ahh. This is getting irritating.
