"Sir Danrick? Sir?"

Nag-angat ako ng tingin kay Jewel na siyang kaibigan ni Kendrah and later on also my friend.

"Wala na tayo sa loob ng company, Wel. Pwede mo na akong tawagin sa pangalan ko."I sighed then close my eyes at sumandal sa backrest ng couch.

We're here at Kendrah's private room in our hospital. My hospital to be exact. I'm the President of this hospital and yes I'm a doctor but I have a specialization.

"What happened to her kanina Wel? Ba't siya bitbit kanina ng lalaking iyon?" Tanong ko sa kaniya. Naglakad ako sa upuan na nasa gilid ni Ken. I caressed her hand and kissed her forehead. Oh God please heal my baby girl.

Binalingan ko ng tingin si Jewel na hawak ang isang kamay ni Ken. She's in the other side of Ken.

"Pansin ko kasi kanina habang nag me-meeting kami na panay ang hawak niya sa ulo niya. Then may binulong iyong Mr. Rubio na iyon tapos inutusan na ako ni Kendrah na bumili ng frappe sa labas, pagbalik ko bitbit na niya si Kendrah." Saad nito habang marahan na hinahaplos ang kamay ni Ken.

"Pero I need to ask you this question, Danrick."

"Go on. Alam ko namang pansin mo kanina." I sighed then sat down in the chair beside Ken's bed.

"You know Mr. Rubio, right?"

"Yeah."

"How come?"

"He's the cousin of Kendrah's ex boyfriend."

Nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kaniya at kita ko ang kunot tingin niya.
Right. Jewel doesn't know everything.

"Jewel, we lied." Kitang-kita ko kung paano nanlaki ang mga mata niya.

"D-Do I d-deserve an explanation?" She asked stuttering.

"Yeah. Kendrah and I are not truly a couple or a lover. I'm Kendrah's half brother. My name is Danrick Pama. I have Mom's surname. Her name is Kendrah Sarmiento. Her Dad is my Dad. My Mom died when I was just seven years old. Before she died she told me about my real Dad. Kendrah's father. Then after she died wala akong lakas na loob na pumunta sa totoo kong ama cause I expected that he'll not believe o baka hindi niya ako tanggapin bilang anak niya."

"B-But....ahm...is that secret affair between your Mom and Kendrah's Dad?"

"No. It was accident. Mom is drunk that night. It was her cousin's birthday. Tita Klare. She's drunk and Mom's cousins notice it kaya they insist to take her in her suite but Mom said she's okay. Just she's tipsy. Then it happens. Mom enter a wrong suite. That night it happened."

"Pero paano nalaman ng Mom mo na si Tito Freddie iyon?"

"After that morning Mom wake up. She didn't know what to do. She knew that the both of them are drunk and had sexual intercourse. Bigla niyang nasagi ang coat ni Mr. Freddie and that she knew it's Dad. She had s*x with the CEO of Sarmiento Company who happens to be her Boss."

"Your mom is Tito Freddie's secretary?"

"No. Mom is just an employee, a janitress to be exact. We're poor. But Mommy's cousins helped us. Mom is the only child but when her parents died naubos lahat ng ari-arian nila. "Just like what I said. I was just little when mom died pero mulat na ako sa mundo. Imagine. Kilala ko that time iyong mga tutulong kay Mom pero tinanggihan niya. I went to them tsaka iyon na yata ang pinaka worse na nagawa ko sa tanang buhay ko. Inisa-isa ko sila. I went to them and said 'Where's the help that Mommy supposed to get? I'm here for all of it.' Pakapalan na iyon ng mukha pero wala akong pakealam. I need to be conservative."
