Today was a big day, the big day. It was my entrance exam and I was pretty pumped about it, but at the same time I was sad to leave everyone here. After Dory left, the maids entered my room with such sad expressions. I couldn't bring myself to ask since I knew why they were acting in such a way.

They were so tearful, like mother's witnessing their firstborns leaving the nest. As touched as I was, I really didn't want them to cry for me, I didn't like being sad either.

Yet, here we stood, in front of the mansion, with a couple of crying maids, depressed chefs, and sad knights bidding me a farewell.

"My Lady, don't be afraid if we're not there! If anything happens we'll come and whisk you away!"

"We'll tend to the garden and make certain it's clean for you to play in since you love spending your days there..."

"My fair Lady, if anyone shall lay a finger upon you, we will cut them to pieces and feed them to the Furgons!"

"My Lady, we will send a box of Calistas each week for you to feast on, so you wouldn't miss home too much."

I was touched at how sullen they were to bid me a farewell, "Thank you everyone, I will miss you all dearly, but please don't feel sad. I want you to be proud and cheer me on when I come home a Top Quartz Student." They all look at me with surprise and quickly fixed themselves.

Gone were the tears and sadness, instead was pride and joy.

"Of course! Our Lady is the best!"

"The best of the best!"

"My Lady will be great!"

"We shall support you in every way we can!"

Laughing merrily, I feel my eyes water. I quickly wiped at the unshed tears as Winnie tapped my shoulder, "It's time to go, my Lady."

Looking up at him, I nod before turning back to the crowd with a wave of my hand, "I shall see you all in the Winter!"

I got into my carriage as my family cheered me on from behind. Waving to them a final time before Winnie closed the door.

I settled in a comfortable position and stared out the window where I could see everyone watch my carriage take off. Turning away from the sight, I take a deep breath.

The carriage ride, as memory serves, wasn't that long. It would take 10 minutes to get to the Academy Center where it would teleport us to Rose Quartz Academy.

The Academy Center was a Teletower that was placed in every city of every kingdom where it would allow students to teleport to their respective schools. Of course, every school had a Teletower that allowed the students to go back home or wherever the student requested, as long as the specific location had a Teletower for the student to come out of.

Now that I think of it, it seems like an airport, but much more faster and less air polluting... and the planes were replaced with portals which was pretty cool.

Truly sad that my past Earth didn't have magic like this one did.

I mentally prepare myself when I was interrupted by a gurgling sound.

My eyes trail down to my stomach in amazement.

The loud rumble in my stomach reminded me of the lack of food in my system. Looking at the back of Winnies head through the window, I knocked on it before opening the slot. The muffled sound of hoofs clacking became more clear as I leaned forward.

"Winnie? Is it possible to eat at the moment?" Winnie points at the seat in front of me.

"The boxes of food prepared for you should be in the cushions." I thank him, shutting the slot closed before opening up the seat.
