Prologue

When I was still a regular person on Earth, I once read a famous novel called [Queen of Hearts].

It’s a heart-racing and captivating romance novel about a young duke and the daughter of a baron.

The two of them met at the Lionel Academy of Nobilities. A school dedicated for people who inherit special powers from their bloodline known as Legacies.

The five major families that were considered the strongest were the Royal Family of Lionel, the Dukedom of Sullivan, the Dukedom of Salvatore, the Marquisate of Medallian and the Marquisate of Agrielle.

However, the heroine of the novel is from a humble background, her name is Lilianna Heronia, the youngest daughter of a baron somewhere in the South.

She is one of the top students of the academy, a person with a rare dual legacies, the Legacy of Attraction and the Legacy of Repulsion. A genius that can only be seen in a hundred years!

She once saved the life of Niklaus Grayson Sullivan, the heir to the dukedom of Sullivan.

The two fell in love with each other.

But because of their social statuses, they were forced to be separated.

Due to political reasons, Niklaus Grayson Sullivan was forced to marry his lifelong fiancée, the only daughter of the Marquisate of Medallian, Adelina Medallian. On the day of their marriage, Niklaus inherited the dukedom, officially becoming the youngest duke in the kingdom.

A year after their marriage, Niklaus was sent to war.

A year after, Adelina died because of an accident manipulated by the villainess Daniella Agrielle who wants the duke for herself. Adelina is a pitiful woman who loved the duked earnestly but never received his love. She died an early death, alone.

Two more years will passed by, and the young duke came back to the kingdom as the hero of the war.

At the grand banquet to celebrate his glorious return, Lilianna and Niklaus met once more.

And their reunion was chapter one of the [Queen of Hearts], the beginning of their romantic story.

Oh, you must be wondering why I’m telling you all of this.

The reason is simple but crazy.

I, Loraine Lopez, an ordinary person from Earth with a regular job at an accounting company, died from a road accident on my way home and was transmigrated inside the novel [Queen of Hearts].

As a fan, I can now witness first hand the romantic love story of Lilianna and Niklaus. Awesome, right?

The problem however is the fact that I ‘am now inside the body of Adelina Medallian.

Yes, the first wife of Duke Niklaus who died two years after her marriage!

You must be thinking that I can still escape my fate by not getting married to the duke.

I thought so too.

Unfortunately, I was already three months married to the duke when I got transmigrated!

It’s too late now!

But of course, since I’am not the real Adelina who dearly loves the duke, I can still do something crazy to save my life!

“Let’s end this shitty marriage.” I said

He stared at me with interest.

“I want divorce, Duke.”
