Queen of Hearts No More

“So what exactly is the plan?” Devin asked when they walked back to the hall field with music, dancing and chatters of the guests.

“There’s none.” Adelina

“Well, no plan is actually the best plan. We just need to stir up some trouble to the point when it’s impossible to calm things down. I’m good at that.” Daniella

“C-can’t we just try to talk things out if possible? Then slap t-them at least once?” Luella suggested

Adelina smiled, Luella’s suggestion is actually not bad.

She used to be a fan of the novel [Queen of Hearts] afterall. But not anymore.

However, she doesn’t want to resort to violence if possible.

She will try to talk things out.

“Look! The Duchess is approaching the Duke!”

“I can already smell some drama!”

“Oho, looks interesting! I wonder what will gonna happen?”

People love to watch a show.

“Adele! It’s been a long time!” Lilianna excitedly greeted her, she even smiled kindly as if she’s an angel.

However, the Duke glared at Adelina upon noticing her approaching them.

“It’s been a while Lady Lilianna. I see that you’re enjoying your time with my husband.” Adelina said with a smile

“It’s n-not like that, Adele.” Lilianna suddenly acted scared, she slightly hid herself behind the Duke to show that she’s weak and pitiful. She’s trying to tell all the other guests that Adelina is bullying her.

The Duke took a step forward to face Adelina, “Duchess, stop disturbing us.” His eyes clearly says that she should get lost already.

Adelina smiled, “Remember this Duke, I will punish you once you snapped out of it.”

“Is that a threat?” the Duke asked coldly

“Threat? Of course not! Why would I threaten my Sweet Sugar Pie?” Adelina answered while smiling sweetly

The Duke frown, for some reason he cannot find the words to refute her.

“So Duke, can you move aside? I have some business with that woman.” Adelina

Without waiting for the Duke’s response, Adelina walked towards Lilianna and smiled as if they were long lost friends. This sickening sweet smile made Lilianna a little nervous.

“Adele, a-are you angry?” Lilianna

“Angry? Of course not!” Adelina

“Then that’s good—”

Slap!

Everyone gasped in shocked when a loud slap echoed on the quiet hall.

“I’m not angry, I’m furious. Know your place, Lilianna Heronia.” Adelina said coldly, she’s no longer smiling, her expression looks chilling to the bones.

“Duchess you—”

Maxwell and Devin moved swiftly to stop the Duke.

“Adele, why—”

Slap!

Lilianna was shocked to be slapped twice!

“If you still have the audacity to ask why, it means you still don’t understand.” Adelina said coldly
