i spent the whole night writing 1 step forward, 3 steps back. i loved it. karl and caroline had also spent the night.
i woke up the next morning to caroline next to me on my bed. i knew karl was on the couch in the living room.
i groaned and sat up. lola jumped on my bed and came over to me. i felt somewhat better today but not good at all.
i had energy though. i got out of bed and decided to wake the two up by singing. i had a weird feeling i needed to get out.
i grabbed my guitar and sat on the floor just warming up my voice while finding a strumming pattern.
i took lyrics i thought of using in past songs and added them to this.
"brown guilty eyes, and little white lies. i played dumb but i always knew" i knew it was coming soon. just not so soon i guess.
"you talked to her, maybe did even worse. i kept quiet so i could keep you." i just wanted him to stay and love me.
"it's so funny, how you ran go her, the second that we called it quits" it's been two fucking weeks nick.
"ain't it funny how you said you were friends? now it sure as hell don't seem like it" before i could go into a chorus the door opened revealing karl smiling.
"oh hey sorry" i mumbled.
"it's fine. i needed to wake up anyways" he said sitting next to me on the floor and leaning against the couch.
"thank you for coming to save me"
"as your best friend it's my job"
"do you want to hear what i have put together?" i asked and he nodded

they forced me to get out of the house. even after all of my protests.
we were walking through the city and i riding on my skateboard. they kept me safe as i just didn't have a care in the world

i had my airpods in just enjoying my time. we arrived at a skate park that was empty. i just did what i do best. karl found a board that was left and joined me
caroline sat at a bench by herself. i laughed as karl nearly fell.
"you know who is really good at skating"
"tony hawk?" i responded. karl laughed
"yes but also luke"
"really?" i was surprised. i taught karl how to skate so i thought he was the only gamer and skater.
i got off my board and sat on the bottom on the bowl. i took out my phone and called punz. i didn't believe this.
punz's pov:
she was calling shit. i sat up and answered. i had just woken up having a dream about her
"hey what's up?" i asked
"i heard you know how to skate" she said. i heard karl laugh in the background
"you heard correctly. why?"
"karl and i are skating and he said you could but i didn't believe him"
"where are y'all? i wanna come skate" i heard her take in a deep breath before telling me the park
kayla's pov:
"FUCK" i yelled before standing up. karl rode past me
"what's wrong princess kayla" caroline asked
"luke is coming to skate with us. we are kinda by his house i guess"
"yay!" karl said. we kept skating.

i was trying to teach caroline how to skate as i heard luke arrive
"sup" karl said as they dabbed up. i wheezed as caroline nearly fell over again
"it's not the hard" i yelled at her and she slapped my arm. i grabbed my board and skated towards luke and karl.
"hello" i said stopping.
"hey" punz said. i dabbed him up before dropping in and leaving them behind. i heard luke cheer for me and i flipped him off.
that's how the next hour went. just the 4 of us at a skate park that no one else was at.
"i'm ordering food what do y'all want" i asked as i sit on my board.
"i want taco bell" karl said. punz was in his own world as caroline and i added to the order. i gave karl my phone
"give it to luke once you're done" i said. karl listened and ordered whatever.
i turned to caroline to find her smiling
"you seem to be in a better mood today"
"i am" i started "i am surrounded by people so i feel better"
"well karl is leaving in a few days just so you know. i also have class tomorrow so it will just be you and him making plans" she said causing me to frown
"don't leave me with him"
"maybe invite punz as well. then you aren't the only one stuck with him" she said.
