Daniella watched as the old truck pulled out of the Black Driveway. The motorcycles looked presentable and at least functioned as it's supposed to. Jacob did a really good job with fixing them into shape and she was really proud to be called his best friend. That heartbreaking title.

Her hair slightly swayed from the light breeze as she clutched a blanket around her. She watched their interaction to their exchange of smiles and Jacob, he forgot to bid his small farewell like he used to when he was going somewhere.

Her heart wrenched in an unpleasant emotion as she thought of them together, alone. She pursed her lips before waddling back inside, a somber facade preoccupying her features.

She entered her bedroom and threw on casual clothes, opposite to how she acts. A pair of hoodies, Jacob'd and a pair of denim jeans with black leather boots she got for a present from Billy himself.

She came back outside, hair free. She sighed out, it coming out as smog as she took in the damn atmosphere. She bit her upper lip before heading towards the tree line and disappearing inside in a jiffy, getting lost in the leafy trees.

Emily would be lying if she didn't say that the young merfolk was eccentric. She smiled as she watched Daniella plait her hair, the usual as she sat on a stool of the counter as Emily listed off ingredients needed to be bought for the dish she couldn't stop thinking about.

"You know, you're really beautiful. How'd you get stuck in La Push, you could've been a model." Emily spoke from the other side of the counter. Daniella looked up from the small mirror placed in front of her as she placed the braided bun in place.

"Oh, no. I would never. I love it here." she expressed her passion for everyone she had met with the sentences. "I would never trade being a model for family." she smiled at Emily, who let out a breathy laugh, heart touched at the proposal.

"Is it because of a certain Black?" Emily mused, a teasing smirk decorating her slightly scarred beautiful face, leaning forward the the counter.

Daniella's heart picked up pace, her whole entire system freezing at the mention of him. "Maybe." she muttered, ears tinting a shade of red, her pale cheeks warming in thought. Emily giggled as she watched the younger have an inner conflict with herself.

She then furrowed her eyebrows in conceptualization. "Isn't he into the Swan girl?" she asked Daniella who let her arms drop onto each side of the mirror on the counter after she fixed her hair into place.

Daniella looked at her and simply rolled her eyes, making Emily scoff in mock hurt. Daniella looked off the the side, poker-faced. "Yeah, he is." she admitted the cruel painful truth and bit her lip as she thought of it more.

Emily smiled softly at the merfolk, who looked so bothered by the fact that Jacob liked someone else and not her. "The day will come when you'd find happiness." Emily reassured the upset girl, as the latter got lost in her sea of thoughts.

'A merfolk can only love once . . .' she sadly thought, her eyes flashing over, features crestfallen. Emily furrowed her eyebrows, hearing Daniella's voice, but she never opened her mouth. "Sorry, did you say something?" Emily pressed her palm on Daniella's hand.

Daniella looked at her in confusion. "No . . . ?" she replied in a small quiet voice, confusion now plastered on her face. Emily smiled awkwardly and nodded her head, feeling like she was going insane.

She shook her head before picking up the paper, listed with the groceries. "Well, let's go, we have a lot to do before the boys come back." she asserted, standing up properly as did Daniella.

Daniella nodded, watching as Emily shuffled around for a big bag. This is what she did when she had mostly nothing to do. Wake up, dress, help Emily, go home and sleep or speak with Jacob if he was free, which he wasn't the past few days.

She pursed her lips, slightly forlorn as her mind drifted off to the boy she liked as Emily, who finally found a bag, connected arms with her and dragged her out of the wooden homey house in the middle of the forest.
