I opened the door and shut it gently. I had just come home from work, and as i work nightshifts it was almost midnight.
I was quiet as I removed my shoes too not wake Light if he's asleep.
One done, I walked into the living room expecting there too be no one. But instead I saw Light there with hot cocoa and cookies. I smiled a little, "have you been waiting for me?" I asked sitting beside him and pulling him in to a short hug before letting go. "Yep," he responded.
He handed me a cup and I gladly took it and took a sip. It was so nice, he has always made the best hot chocolate. It was the perfect temperature and had just the right amount of cream and marshmallows. I set the cup down on the table so I could try one of the cookies. "Did you bake them?" I asked too which he nodded in reply. I took a bite and they where just as good as the hot chocolate.
"Delicious," I complimented once i had finished he smiled in response and thanked me. He was watching a random movie on Netflix that I'm not sure of the name but that didn't matter. As long as we're here together I'll watch whatever.
