July 22, 2022 - The Watty Awards are open for submissions!

The 2022 Watty Awards, Wattpad's biggest annual writing contest, are officially open for submissions!

We're calling all of the next generation of great storytellers! Share your story for the chance to win a Watty Award and an opportunity to be rewarded for your craft. Write, edit, and submit. That. Story. The Wattys close for submissions on August 19th—the countdown is on.

To submit your story, head to your completed story's details page and find the Wattys banner at the top. Clicking the banner will take you to the Wattys submission form. Remember: only stories that meet the eligibility requirements will receive a banner.

And if reaching that milestone of entering your story into the Wattys isn't enough incentive, did you hear about the exciting new prizes we've added this year? A Grand Prize Winner in each language with a cash prize of $5kUSD each, a studios prize in every language, 2 in english (one animation), and 3 WWBG prizes in english!

For more than a decade, The Wattys have celebrated the journey of millions of Wattpad writers who bring the stories of their dreams into the lives of readers around the world. From the seed of a story to its final period in the closing sentence of the final chapter, it's all part of the same journey. That's why the Wattys are so much more than an award.
