Chapter 15: The tree of belief!
Afternoon
In the Sword of Logos base
They're back in the base after Victor battled the Courmaline gym leader and got the grass badge
"I've got the fourth badge, now four more to go," Victor said while looking at the badge
"Yeah, you'll eventually become champion at least," Hop responded
"By the way Gloria, you sure you don't want to be a trainer again?" He asked her
"No, because I've decided to become something differently," she replied
"Become what?" He asked
"I've decided to become a performer!" She replied
"A... What?" Hop was confused
"So... Does that mean you'd like have to appear on stage and act cute and stuff?" Victor asked
"You guys seriously don't know pokemon showcase?" Gloria asked
"I don't even know what being a performer is," Hop replied
"Well in simplified description because you guys only understand if things are simple, Pokemon showcase is about trainers and their Pokemon performing on live stage and showing off their beauty and bond together to the people who's watching them. And whoever gets three keys and win the finale. You'd become the queen!" She responded
"And... Get guillotined?" Victor asked
"You seriously don't get it don't you?" She asked
"Well, did you register? Sounds like to me you'd need to register first before you start performing on stage," Hop asked
"I already did and I'm excited to perform!" she replied
"Why though?" He asked
"Because becoming the champion really did put stress last time, so I want to try something different," Gloria replied
"And sell your body so everyone can see?" Victor asked
"That's a different kind of job!" She replied
"Wait, nevermind. I was just messing," he responded
"Well do whatever you want, if it makes you happy then do it," Hop said
"Oh, talking about the Courmaline city, there's a festival happening there," she said
"And what do we have to do with it?" Victor asked
"This festival that's going on in Courmaline city, accordingly there's a story behind it. Long ago there was a trainer and his pokemon, they went on a journey together and experience countless adventures. So at the end of their journey, they settled down in that land and lived there happily ever after. And in honour of their lasting friendship, the trainer gave his pokemon a little tree as a lovely reminder of everything they have been through together. Before long that little tree grew and grew becoming the largest tree in Courmaline city, and that tree is known as the pledging tree. And that's how the festival started, what do you guys think?"
