Two classes left and then Aria would have to go home, spending the weekend being abused. She hated school but being at home was worse. Last weekend she had been beaten so badly she couldn't do her chores fast enough which resulted in a further beating.

She currently has gym class and although her body ached she couldn't let anyone know. She was just greatful they attacked her ribs  and stomach more than her legs, her arms were fairly bruised but she wore a long sleeve top however the school had its own gym uniform which meant shorts. It wasn't the worst, no one could see the bruises and they didn't look too bad.

She entered the sports hall expecting to see just a group of girls but instead there was a group of boys too. "So the boys teacher is off so I'll be taking both classes" the girls sports teacher said.

Ares was in the class and his eyes went straight to Aria, her head was still down and it concerned him, he glanced at her legs when he saw a dark bruise out of the corner of his eyes. He saw red. How dare someone touch her.

He was furious. He couldn't hold back his anger, he wanted to find Luke and rip him to pieces. He stormed out of the class.

He didn't exactly rip him to pieces but he pulled him out of class saying it was a football meeting, he then took him to an empty corridor and took out his anger on him, Luke tried to fight back but it was useless and by the time Ares was done he was coughing up blood.

Ares didn't understand why he got so angry, she could have fallen. She was his enemy but at the same time he no longer wanted her to be an enemy. He wanted to be around her. In the library at lunch it hadnt been a long time but it was the calmest he had felt in ages. It was nice.

He didn't bother going back to class after that but he did go to the locker room and get changed.

The last class of the day was History. He couldn't stand history but he attended knowing his parents would only ask questions. His mum would worry thinking there was something wrong and his dad would lecture him.

He was suprised when he saw Aria walk in a little late but she was not usually part of this class.  He saw she was  looking around for a seat but the only spare one was next to himself. He didn't like people sitting next to him.

She reluctantly walked towards the seat and causiously sat down. Her head never  up after that.

"So why are you suddenly in this class"  he asked her.
"My timetable got switched" she muttered.

"I see. Well congratulations you are stuck with me for the rest of the school year. The teacher makes the seats we choose on the first day our permenant ones" he said.

She nodded "ok"

"Will you lift your head up " he asked

"No"

He had to respect her decision but just as he was about to try one last time the teacher announced a project.

"Well your first assignment is a group project. You will deliver some sort of presentation at the end of the semester, you will need to work outside of class, and you will work with the person sat next to you"

It surprised Ares when he found himself happy to spend time with the girl. "It will be fun" he said when he saw Aria looking terrified.

Class soon ended and Aria was shocked when she saw Ares following her. "Why are you following me" she whispered.

"Well you just left, we need to work out when you can come over or I can come over to work on the project"

Aria didn't know how to anwser.
"I don't know maybe we can just do seperate sections and join them together later time" she suggested.

"No we need to do it together " he insisted. Usually he would have agreed to her suggestion but he liked being around her, he knew she wasn't in any danger around him.

"I'll ask my parents" she mumbled and with that she left.

Ares sighed. He missed her already.
