Nowadays I cry by reading the tears of others
that they leave in their words.
By writing words,
after words, after words,
after words.
By shutting my eyes and listening to songs
By sitting still,
by closing my eyes,
by trying to breathe.
I cannot carry this weight,
it is suffocating.
I cry by evading the tears filling this space
By wrapping my arms around myself
because I feel I could fall apart.
I am falling apart...
again.
And I do all this and all that
till I can't withhold the pain
and my hands splinter
and I shatter like glass
watching as these tears wash
my pieces away.
