Eddie's Pov:
My fiance y/n has been very off lately, she was always zoning out and whenever I asked her if she was okay she would just nod and excuse herself to the bathroom.
I've even found her throwing up a couple times in the morning. But she just said it was a virus probably
I know something is going on but she won't tell me what.
But I know one thing, I'm gonna find out.
"Hey y/n can we talk real quick?" I ask
She avoided my eyes the whole time.
"Yeah."
I took her hand and led her to a corner no one was.
"Are you okay?"
"I uhm.. Yeah I'm fine"
She says looking at the floor.
"No you're not. Just tell me what it is."
"Eddie I said I'm fine." She said sternly
"Baby please just tell-" I was cut off my the sound of the bell ringing.
She just walked away like nothing happened.

We were responding to a 6 story apartment fire, we all had to split up, Y/n was on 6th floor, Eddie was on 5th, Buck was on 4th, Bobby was on 3rd, then whoever finished first would go down to the next. While Chimney and Hen were outside taking care of injurys.
All of a sudden Bobby signals us on the radio
"Guys get out the building is gonna collapse soon."
"Copy that cap." Eddie said back.
Then Y/n signaled in
"Give me one second. I found a dog."
"You better hurry Y/n." Bobby said back.
Eddie was waiting down the stairs when there
was a big crash.
"Is everyone okay?" Bobby asked over the radio
Everyone responded besides for Y/n
"Y/n is everything okay?" Bobby asked
No response.
"This is captain Nash for Y/n Y/l/n?"
"Y/n?" Now Eddie was getting worried
"Okay I'm going up to check on her." Eddie said
"Diaz, be careful."
Y/ns pov:
The last thing I hear is someone shouting
"Y/n?! "Y/n where are you?!"
I let out a "over here." But it wasn't very loud.
I just hope they heard. Then everything went black.

I woke up to a very bright room.
I shielded my eyes and felt something holding my hand.
I looked over to a sleeping Eddie.
I squeezed his hand to maybe wake him up.
He woke up right away.
"Y/n!! You're awake!"
"Why don't I remember what happened?"
"A beam crushed your legs, and when you fell it gave you a small concussion.. I ran back up to find you. You were unconscious. You're lucky you only came out with a couple broken bones."
"Oh. Wait is the dog okay? His collar said his name was Thor."
"I got yall both out just in time. He only came out with some scratches."
I just nod in relief
"When were you planning on telling me?"
"Tell you what?" I asked kinda confused
His eyes started to water
"That you're pregnant."
My heart sank. I couldn't find the courage to say anything. It's like my body froze
"Are you mad?"
"Honestly I'm kinda mad you didn't tell me. I could have lost you."
"No.. I mean are you mad at me being pregnant?
I didn't want you to leave me.. I thought you'd be mad.."
"Honey.. look at me."
When I didn't look at him, he softly put his thumb under my chin and made me look at him.
"I'd never leave you. I'm sure this was a shock to you. But I'd never leave you, I love you to much to do that."
"I'm so sorry! I should have told you. I'm so so sorry.." I started crying again
"Don't cry my love. It's okay." He gives me a sweet passionate kiss.
"Do you want some water?" He asks as he kisses my forehead.
"Yes please."
"I'll be back mi amor." He said as he gets up and leaves the room.
After he got back the doctor walked in.
"Miss Y/l/n Mr Diaz. I just wanted to inform you that your baby is in perfect health."
I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.
"Okay thank you." Y/n told the doctor
Eddie is just smiling
"Well I'll leave it to yall." She said as she walked out
"I can't wait to tell chris!" Eddie says
"But what if he doesn't like the idea?" I say really worried.
"He will, I promise."
