With my headcanons for how they act, I think they would mesh well together. Nani is kind yet understands and remembers boundaries and, unlike some of his other friends, she also has a bit of a fiery temper if you wain her patience.
So yes it works in my opinion. 8-bit is angry, passionate, and loyal while Nani is kind and can help keep him more down to earth, but won't let him walk all over her.
