Author's POV (Edited)

Three weeks have passed after that incident in the house. Shah Zain had recovered completely and had joined the company few days back. His relationship with Shiza was ok. They were not in the best relationship but atleast the awkward air and the tension between them was gone.

Let's say both were trying their best to make relationship work. But there's always a but.

The family members were not so happy about the bloom in their relationship. Especially Zohra and Zarnish. Not liking the way Shah Zain was slowly opening up to Shiza was making their blood boil. Zarnish started to spend her days locked in her room. Rage was building up inside her heart. She can't seem to wrapped her head around it. Her only love was getting ahead in his relationship. She feared that there will be a day when she will no longer have any place in his heart.

And that's what scared her the most.

She had always loved Shah Zain and she can't bear to see him with anyone else. It was surely her fault that she didn't say anything in the first place when the talks of his marriage started. Truthfully, she was unsure. Shah Zain was not taking his responsibilities in the company seriously and she feared that he will not be able to achieve anything in his life.

That's why she stopped him that day. But now she was regretting it. She was afraid that good for nothing Shiza will snatch him away from her. She can't let that happen. She had liked Shah Zain since teenage years and she can't see him with any other girl than herself.

She has to do something. She thought that maybe the food incident will make Shah Zain hate Shiza more but it back fired. Shah Zain accepted that peasant and Zarnish was shocked by it would an understatement. She was gobsmacked. She never in a million years thought that Shah Zain will believe Shiza. But it did happen and now she has to something really quick to stop their relationship going any further.

She started thinking. What next could she do? She had already done that food incident. Yes, she was the one who added oregano and herbs in the pasta. She wanted to belittle Shiza and wanted her out of the house. She was so blinded by her jealousy and rage that she tried to hurt the very person she claimed to love.

How much a person can go in the race of hate?

She didn't even think about how it will affect Zain. She wanted Shiza out of the house. She could do anything. That day she was so scared that someone might have seen her. But maybe luck was on her side. She added very little amount but Shah Zain's allergy were really bad and it reacted horrifically. She locked herself in the room that night and paced over about it.

She was scared, so damn scared that she was shaking. What had she done? She couldn't have done that. How could she be so blind in her envy and hate? All these thoughts clouded her vision and she couldn't think straight. Tears threatened to fall out of her eyes but she controlled herself.

Now is not the time to cry. She needed to act like a worried cousin who doesn't know a thing about how her dearest cousin got such a bad allergy reaction. But the guilt was eating her alive. Also, her plan also didn't work and Shiza successfully made her place in Shah Zain's heart. Her plan failed. She had failed in her own mission...

It was forty past seven. Shiza was working in the kitchen. She was preparing dinner as per dado's request. Shehnaz Ammi had asked forgiveness from her. She told her that she was so shameful that she didn't take her side that day and she felt so guilty about all that happened with Shiza. She even told her that if there's any possibility for her to have a heart to forgive her than she will be really happy.
