"so what are we doing now?" fran asked as they started to leave the cafe.
"well i was thinking we get some sushi cause i know you love it." chris answered, grabbing her hand and leading her along to the sushi place.
as chris explained more about the sushi place, fran had zoned out and was only focusing on her hand intertwined in his.
she was still struggling to comprehend how this was happening. she was on an official date with her childhood best friend. fran had been in denial about her feelings for so long, but now everything had changed completely.
she couldn't be happier.
"did you hear what i said?" chris' voice broke fran out of her thoughts.
"i- no. i'm sorry. i kinda zoned out." fran laughed sheepishly, embarrassed that she wasn't listening.
chris chuckled though, so at least he wasn't offended. "what were you thinking about?" he asked her.
when he was met with silence, chris quickly realised why.
"you were thinking of me, huh." he smirked.
fran covered her face in shame, "shut up."
"you so were thinking of me."
