26. Let Me Do Things To You

Mahi's Pov:

I woke up and did my morning routine.
I went downstairs. Saif is already
up before me.
I wore a beige colour hoodie
and white pants.
We have breakfast while talking about random stuffs.
After having breakfast, I was helping Nusrat aunty in collecting dishes
from dining table, just then her phone rang.
Nusrat aunty went to pick her phone.
"It's Huma" she said and
went to living room.
I collect all the dishes and went to the kitchen.

Few minutes later, she came in the kitchen looking so happy.
"Where is Saif?" She asked.
"He went out with Asar uncle" I replied.
"Oh! There's a good news" she said happily.
"What is it?" I asked being confused.
"First come out of the kitchen" she said.
I follow her till living room.
"Now tell me" I said.
"Huma is going to be a mother. She is pregnant" she said excitedly.
"Really!" I exclaimed and hugged her.
"Oh my God! Congratulations!" I said.
"Congratulations to you too" she replied.
"Let me call Saif" I said.
"No, wait let them come hone first" she said.
"Ok" I replied.

I am really happy for Huma Aapi and  Arbaz bhai.
Oh my God! I can't believe she's pregnant.
What a beautiful start of the day! Alhumdulillah!
May Almighty bless her and her baby with good health.
Currently, I am sitting in living room having my coffee.
While Nusrat aunty is desperately waiting for others to come home so
that she can share this good news
with them.
"My God Mahi, I can't believe my baby is going to have a baby soon" she said with tears in her eyes.
I kept my coffee aside and hugged her.
"It's ok aunty. You are making me emotional too" I said.
And it's true, seeing her being emotional my eyes also become a little teary.
She laughed a little while wiping her tears.
"Ohh! It's just that I am so happyyy. I can't be able to believe it" she said and hugged me again.

Just then Asar uncle entered followed by Saif.
"Oh! Oh! What's wrong?" Asar uncle asked with a little worry on his face.
"You both came back? Where is Zohair?" She asked.
"Zohair bhai ki meeting hai woh office me hi ruk gaye" Saif answered.
Nusrat aunty hugged Asar uncle and said "We are going to be grand-parents"
"Whaaattt!?" Saif said loudly.
I kind of flinched a little due to his voice.
"Oh my God, why are you shouting Saif?" Nusrat aunty said.
"What are you saying mummy? How is it possib...." Nusrat aunty cut him in between "Yeah Huma is going to be a mother soon"
"Oh, Huma aapi is pregnant" Saif said while his face being relaxed a bit.
"Really! Mubarak ho" Asar uncle said being happy.
Then Nusrat aunty hugged Saif.
"Mumma you just shocked me" Saif said smiling awkwardly.
Why he became so shocked? I thought.

"Let me talk to my daughter" Asar uncle said.
"Let's do a video call" I said.
"Yeah, good idea" Asar uncle replied.
We video called Huma aapi through Saif's laptop.
I congratulate her first and after that I went out to do some work.
Leaving them have some time with their daughter.
This must be a very big news for them, like I can understand it's so overwhelming to know that your daughter is going to have a baby. They must be having all kind of
feelings all together like excitement, joy, happiness, emotional and all.

Time skip
Afternoon

I am sitting on my bed holding my phone in my hand debating in my mind should I call my parents or not.
Today after seeing a lovely convo of Huma aapi with her parents I start missing my parents.
Even though, how they behaved with me I remember it very well but I still love them.
They are my parents, I can never hate them.
Just then Saif entered.
"Sabko mubarak baad de di lekin mujhe to di nahi Mrs Pasha. I am going to be an uncle sooonnn" Saif said excitedly, sitting beside me.
"Comgratulations!" I said to him while smiling.
"You know I am so happy. I can't explain how happy I am. I will have a baby to play with. A mini little human" he said and laugh.
I laugh too.
"Yeah, I am happy too. May God keep both of them healthy as pregnancy
is a very big thing in a girl's life. Her body needs lot of protein and
vitamins and a lot of care ofcourse. So that baby can come out healthy and safe and sound" I said.
"And wise too, I just hope the baby wouldn't turn out to be dumb like Huma aapi" he said jokingly.
I hit his shoulder.
