29. Betraying Me Is Your Fault

Mahi's Pov:

"I want to tell you something please" Amaan request.
Should I agree with him or not? I thought.
I think I should.
I also want to know the reason why the hell he played this dirty game with me.
It's so simple and clear if he starts
liking Rabia while being engaged with me, he could had directly
come to me and could have told me that he starts liking Rabia and I swear I myself would had stepped down from marrying him.
Kyun ke mohabbat kisi se zabardasti nahi karwayi jaa sakti.

I want to ask him.
He is right, I didn't confront him even once and that is because I was so
much broken.
But now I can confront him.
I mean why not?
It's my right to question him.

"Ok, let's go on terrace" I said and went to the terrace followed by him.
But not to forget while going upstairs I messaged Saif that I am going on terrace because Amaan wants to talk.
I can't trust him again.
Maybe this is his new plan or something.
I thought it's better to inform Saif so I messaged him and he replied with a thumbs up reaction.

"I want to...." I cut him off.
"Answer me first then you can speak" I said.
He nods.
"So, Mr Amaan Siddique how's life going lately?" I asked.
"Not good" he replied.
"Not sorry to hear but may I know why?" I said.
"Because I am living in guilt" he replied.
"You should. Anyways, if you liked Rabia then why didn't you tell me? I
am sure it's not like that
suddenly on our wedding day you realise that you are in love with
her because I know things were going on between you two since long. So, why you didn't told me?" I asked.

The question which's answer I want to know since the day I got married to Saif.

"Because Rabia told me to do so" he said shortly.
"Elaborate" I said.

"Remember after celebrating graduation party I drop you home first
and then Rabia and I were only left in car since her house comes
after yours" he said and looked at me.

"Continue" I said.

"When only we two were left she said to me that she wants to tell me
something important so I told her
she can tell me now but she insisted me to meet her tomorrow at Castio café. As she said I went to meet her. At first she talks about random things, I ask her what she wanted to tell me and she... she said that she starts liking me she said that she is feeling guilty for doing so because I am her best friend's fianceé"

"Hmm and..." I said.

"I didn't responded her and went back to my home. Days keep
passing by. Our life was going well. I, you, Rabia and other friends used to hang together and all but between in all these things I start feeling attracted towards her. I start liking her behaviour. As you know, she is a girly type and she use to talk to
me sweetly while you use
to roast me. You were not like other girls. You were different.
I know you did talk to me freely that's why you sometimes jokes about me and all but that is all ok as a friend. Nowadays boys don't see the one who is honest on their face they notice the one who talks to them
sweetly and shyly." He said.

"So basically you are saying that it's not your fault" I said.

"Yes, loving....her is not my fault" he said.

"Yeah, loving her is not your fault but betraying me is your fault Amaan and you can't deny that" I said.

"I am not...." I stop him in mid of the sentence and said "continue your story I don't have whole night to keep standing here"

"So, I start feeling attracted towards her. I kinda start liking her company, she used to call me at night and tell
me how she spent her day. But it's
not like that I didn't deny her.
I did.
I made it clear to her that I am engaged to you and I don't like her so
she said let's just be friends. So I agreed and we both start hanging
out together. We use to go for shoppings secretly without letting you know. We became good friends and soon that friendship turns into love" he explained.
