In the shadow of towering oaks,
Where whispers of torment lingered,
A young heart bore the weight of scorn,
Quietly enduring each painful jab.
With eyes cast downward, shoulders bowed,
He moved through the halls like a specter,
Avoiding the gaze of those who sought
To strip him of his self-respect.
Days stretched into endless cycles
Of taunts and jeers, sharp as daggers,
Piercing his fragile sense of self,
Even so, he remained unyielding and resolute.
Counting down the minutes,
The hours, the days,
Until graduation arrived
Like a beacon of hope on the horizon.
With diploma in hand and invisible scars,
He walked defiantly across that stage,
Leaving behind the torment and tears
As he embarked on new horizons.
