EYES FULL OF SECRETS

I was brushing my hair looking at myself in the mirror when Lucas caught my eye in the back of the mirror sitting on the bed, he seemed off these past few days so I turned around and walked over to him and knealed down

"is everything okay babe?" I said patting his knee
He looked at me with a look on his face I couldn't see right through, normally I can. "Yeah why?" He said looking away for a second "you seem off wanna talk about something?" I said trying to keep the eye contact
"There's nothing to talk about." He smiled softly kissing my forehead and walking out of the room.

Still I wasn't convinced, Luce never talks about his problems, not even to me. It takes atleast half a bottle of vodka to get him to open up. Which is rare since he isn't the drinking type.

I was worried, did I do something?

My face went pale as I looked at myself in the mirror with unexplained guilt in my stomach.

I brushed it off and walked towards the mirror and grabbed the earrings on the table infront of it and tried to put them on.

I was struggling to put them on, the room became smaller and smaller as I got angrier, until I snapped and quickly put the earrings on the table . I breathed in and told myself.

He doesn't know.

Matt was sitting in the living room trying to fix the camera they brought with them, he took out the battery and put it back in .
He tried to switch it on and it worked, suddenly he heard laughter from outside, he Matt quickly looked out the window to see his brother Chris and harper talking to eachother,
It looked like one of those cheesy romance movies, you could see the eye contact between them, the small smiles Chris was trying to hide, and that one look harper has. The look she gave her ex.

Matt smiled to himself and took the camera he quickly took a photo of them so they wouldn't notice.
"Oo stalker" Nick said sitting down next to Matt grabbing the camera out of his hands and looking at the photo.
"Even Chris is getting some action and we know he's terrified of relationships" Nick said looking directly at Matt.
"Yeah yeah Nick, im still getting over my last relationship" Matt said grabbing the camera back from Nick and switching it off
"Which was..." Nick pretended to struggle to remember the answer "a year? And a half ago. MOVE ON, I feel bad for you "

Lucas was walking out of the cabin when Nick stopped him "the camera is workiiing, smile" Nick took the camera and the blonde haired guy didn't even smile just looked at the camera and asked "are we drinking tonight" his eyes squinted when the camera flashed "HAHAA you look so funny here, and idk, ask harper or someone. I didn't even know we had booze here" Nick said focusing on the camera

"Uhuh" Luce said Matt quickly followed Luce outside walking past Harper and Chris
"Lucas is everything alright?" Matt said
"Jesus" Luce stopped in his track and massaged his eyes in frustration "yes everything is okay I just have a bad feeling about this place, and I really need to get drunk tonight." He said looking at Matt

"I'll ask harper okay, just try to chill out." Matt tried to comfort Luce
"Yeah I don't need your breathing exercises Matt." Lucas said ironically
Matt looked around embarrassed in a way "I wasn't-? Never mind do whatever the fuck you want. Where's Gabriela anyways? Did you guys get into an argument?" Matt asked
"She's inside. And what? We didn't fucking argue I'm just tired okay. Stop trying to solve everyone's problems. You have your own problems as I can see" Lucas looked matt up and down and walked away

"What?" Matt mumbled to himself, as he started walking toward harper and Chris he was cursing out Lucas in his head.

"Harper?" Matt stood infront of them awkwardly
"What's up" Chris said for harper
"Everyone is asking if we have booze" matt rolled his eyes since he never liked drinking
