Amara

Fourteen days of confinement. Fourteen days of absolute psychological torture.

"Snaire, up. Now." The guard named Atlas scans me up and down, reaching out to grab my arm.

I let him pull me up, turning away from him dramatically. I try to yank back as well, "Don't touch me, weirdo. I bet you like kids." I sneer, making a disgusted look.

Atlas only sighs, "Like every other day, I'm a good person, and I dont have a fetish for children, and as the other days, it's time for me to escort you."

I glare at him, huffing. "Not hungry." I mumble. Truth is, I'm really not. I'll starve myself until they let me go.

He scoffs, "Not hungry? You haven't eaten for three days, Amara. Come on." He pulls me up, dragging me away from the small cell I was trapped in.

I force him to drag me around, stopping my feet and pulling on him, but considering he does it easily, I'm very weak. I guess I could eat. Then I'd be strong enough to fight, right? I could run to the car station and..

"Stop thinking of running away, Snaire. You can't escape here." The guard named Kit frowns. "Let's go eat."

I stare at Kit and Atlas, looking around for the nearest exit door. They start to drag me to the cafeteria, and it pisses me the fuck off.

As everyone turns to stare at me, it only angers me even more. "Got a problem?!" I shout. "Fucking staring problem."

Everyone turns away, except one face I don't recognize. He has dirty blonde hair, lighter blue eyes, a long scar across his cheek, and a pronounced nose. I stare at him cautiously, relaxing a bit. He's new.. New? No way they're taking new recruiters....

I grab my food, and Kit tries to push me towards a crowded table, but I shove past her and walk straight towards the lonely boy.

He only smiles at me as I sit down, and he chuckles softly. "So you've got a whole army to keep you contained?" He jokes, shoving meat in his mouth.

I stare at him, a flabbergasted 'Uh', leaving my lips. "Who even are you, weirdo. It's not cool to stare."

He smiles, leaning in to whisper, "Volor child, and only the best, Rowan Volor." He winks at me, leaning back.

My eyes widen, "Rowan? Oh my god, it's actually you?" I question, a genuine smile on my face.

"Yeah. Your girlfriend's friend.. Sam's girlfriend Annie, aka my brother's girlfriend's sister, told me to come here." He smiles innocently.

I look at him a bit shocked, blinking. "Hold on, I'm a bit slow. Fawn asked Sam to ask her girlfriend Annie, who is Liance's girlfriend's sister, to get you here?" I state hesitantly.

Rowan nods, a smirk on his face. "Also, Liance's girlfriend is named Percy. I mean.. they aren't technically together, and they are actually going through a lot right now, but um, yeah." He smiles.

Uhm.. This is alot to take in. Why send Rowan? He seems like a dumbass... I blink at him, "You do realize.. Sam is my half sister, right? She just doesn't know?" I ask hesitantly.

He just nods, humming in agreement. Once he actually understands what I told him, he pauses and stares at me curiously. "Wait... What?" He utters in disbelief, shoving more food in his mouth.

I laugh slightly, "Uhm, yeah. Pretty much. She's my half-sister. Apparently, my dad cheated a lot, so..."

Rowan blinks, "Okay.. To be fair. Mr. Snaire didn't seem like the cheating type when my mom told me about him."
