Y/N POV

"Y/N wake up sweetie," my mother said, shaking me out of my deep sleep.

"Hmm? Mommy, what's wrong?" I asked her, looking at the clock on my bedside table. The big bright letters read 3:57 AM "Why are you waking me up so early?" I asked her while rubbing my eyes

"Get up, brush your teeth, and brush your hair then come downstairs honey," my mom said and walked out of the room. I couldn't help but notice the weird look on my mom's face, she looked like she did something wrong.

I did as my mother asked, my heart pounding from worry. What reason would my mother have for waking me up at this time? And why did she look so upset?

I tried to calm myself down, but to no avail, as I brushed my hair much more rougher than usual which caused me to wince in pain, I started to walk down the stairs. I had to hold the railing to keep myself steady, my legs were shaking so terribly that I almost fell.

"Mom?" I called out, once I reached the bottom step looking at the living room to my right I saw that the lights were on.

"Come Y/N." My father called out from the living room. Hearing my father's strong voice made me feel better. My dad always made me feel safe and secure. I felt my worries fade away as I walked into the living room. My mother and father sat on the couch next to each other, and across from them, I saw a stranger whose back was facing us.

By looking at his back, I could tell this man was strong. I slowly walked to where my parents were, while I was keeping an eye on the man taking in his appearance. He wore a black suit and a black tie, his hair was a beautiful blonde color

When I was about to sit next to my father, he stopped me and motioned me to the stranger, "Sit next to Namjoon Y/N."

I turned toward the stranger and couldn't hold back the shudder that ran through my body, underneath that black hair were the most beautiful brown eyes I have ever seen. His facial structure was strong and handsome with tattoos on his arms and neck with a piercing on his eyebrow.

I told myself to do what my father told me to do but I was glued to where I stood, staring at the man I don't know why, but this man made me want to run and never look back. Looking at his face, I felt like I was looking at a face of a devil.

"Do what your father tells you to do little girl," Namjoon said, his brown eyes showing a hint of anger as he spoke. His voice was deep, so deep I felt everything inside of me tremble the moment he spoke. The way he looked at me made me feel like he was looking through me, down into my soul.

I did what the man said and sat on the same couch as him but as far away as I could on the small couch, sitting next to this man made me feel like a glass doll, small and fragile.

Namjoon chuckled as he looked at me cowering away from him, but said nothing to me as he looked back at my parents. "I accept your payment," he said then stood up, he held his hand out to me expectantly.

"What? Dad, what is happening?" I asked him as I scrambled off the couch and into a corner of the room, as far from Namjoon as possible

"Y/N-" My father started to speak but stopped once Namjoon held his hand up, silencing him

"You are mine, little girl," Namjoon said as he sauntered towards me confidently

"No!" I screamed and tried to run away, but I couldn't as my back was already pressed against the wall.

The man came closer and stopped once he was a few inches away. "Y/N do you want your mother to die?" His voice was low but it was still terrifying as hovered over me, his eyes searing into me.

I couldn't help but be shocked by his words as I looked at him and my mother. "No of course I don't," I whimpered as my eyes darted back at the man.

"Your mother will die if you aren't mine. So be a good girl and take my hand, I will tell you everything," he said, holding his hand out to me. "I promise I won't steal you away." He added after seeing my hesitation.

I reluctantly took his hand and allowed him to lead me back to the couch. Once I sat down I tried to take my hand back but held onto it tightly refusing to let go. "Your mother has cancer Y/N and she will die soon if she doesn't receive proper treatment, your family can't afford to pay for it, as your father offered you as payment." He said and threw a hateful glance at my parents, the venom in his voice made my parents look down in shame, refusing to make eye contact.

"But I'm thirteen!" I cried out but didn't dare to move again in fear of what he would do

"Don't fret little one, you will be mine on your eighteenth birthday," he said, looking into my eyes.

I saw a twitch at the corner of his mouth as if he was trying not to smile, was he smiling? No...it couldn't be.

I couldn't hold back my tears anymore everything was too much for me to bare, I yanked my hand again. This time he released it. I pulled my knees to my chest and started weeping. "How could you give your daughter away!?" I cried to my parents through tears.

"Y/N don't be selfish!" My father suddenly yelled as he stood up from the couch "Your mother is dying! And this man will give her the treatments she needs to survive. Did you think that I would choose you over my wife?! I never fucking wanted you as my daughter!"

Namjoon stood up and placed his hand on my father's chest, and he pushed him hard, which caused my father to land on the ground harshly. "You will never fucking speak to her that way, understood?" He said, his voice was filled with anger.

"Yes Mr.Kim," my mother whispered, not moving to check on her husband, as she continued to sit, looking at the ground.

Why does that name sound so familiar? I thought then realization dawned on me as I looked at the man through my tears This is Kim Namjoon! The billionaire lawyer! Then another realization dawned on me which made me shiver in fear "A-Are you a vampire?" I asked him.

"Yes, little one I'm a vampire." He whispered in my ear as he sat back down next to me.

It all became way too much for me to handle, as I started hyperventilating, looking at him, then looking at my mother. I was gasping for air but I couldn't breathe.

"Y/N?" My mother called, her voice filled with worry as she came over and tried to comfort me.

"No! Get away from me!" I screamed and kicked her shoulder. I wasn't sad or upset. I was angry I was pissed, I curled up into a ball on the couch and cried "Leave me alone..." I sobbed

Namjoon wrapped his arms around me and carried me back to my room, laying me down softly on the bed before putting a blanket on me, he stayed with me and calmed me down, no matter how much I kicked, cried, and screamed at him to leave me alone. When I was too tired to fight, he kissed my forehead, stood up, and said: "I'll be back for you, little one." He whispered in my ear before leaving the room and closing the door on his way out.

The last thing I heard before falling asleep was him speaking to my parents. "I will be back for her. If find I out that you ever hurt her or if there is a single scratch on her because of you, I will make sure that cancer will be the least of your worries."
