Chapter 4

GABRIEL

My body stiffens as I look up at my mate. You have got to be kidding me! My day was going so good as well, I had reunited people, I watched nothing but happiness the whole day. So why does he have to ruin it?

I frown what I suppose is a wolfy frown.

'You're such a loser,' my wolf laughs at me. I just grumble back annoyed at him. Ashton keeps staring at me with a curious and unrecognizable look.

His grey coat is gorgeous though, I just want to lick him. Wow, really creepy Gabby, really creepy.

'Couldn't agree with you more!' Xaliq laughs. I just huff and look back at the problem. What to do, what to do?

Ashton just stares at me with a confused look. Well, he thinks I'm human, so he won't ever recognize me in my wolf form unless I uncover my scent.

'Help?' I speak loudly in my head. Stupid werewolf, vampire, angel and warlock. Where are they when I actually need them?

'Dude we're right here!' Mostique laughs. I silently whine inside my head, Mostique is the angel. He's supposed to be the one that helps me! He's not supposed to be some stupid smartass.

' You're such a mean angel! ' I huff. I feel Mostique playfully huffs in reply and I roll my wolf eyes.

'Gabby, just knock him out. It's not painful or anything,' Gwaquxi says, sounding a bit tired. I mentally face palm. Why haven't I thought of that?

I connect my eyes with his, ignoring the hurtful sparks. I need to concentrate here. I see his eyelids fluttering a bit. I keep staring at him, just a few more seconds. Suddenly he collapses. I smile and quickly run away.

What a weird day.

"No!" I say firmly. Kaya just glares at me, her piercing blue eyes drilling into mine.

"I'll throw you in my witch pot if you don't," she glares. I just mumble a small fine, giving up to my sister. I don't want to be thrown in her witch pot again, it hurts being cooked in magic.

"YES! I'll summon Theo now," Kaya yells excitedly. I just roll my eyes and lay down on the couch. I don't want Theo to come to school with me, do you know how overprotective he is? Plus he's old. Why do they even want to go to school?

Theo is busy an arch angel and Kaya is busy being one of the most powerful witches in the world. So why would they spend time going to a high school with a rejected confused hybrid?

Suddenly Theo appears, the same cheeky smile on his face that's always plastered there. Blehhh, stupid smiling family.

"Gabby," He smiles and pulls me into a tight hug. I hug him back with a small smile, I may not be thrilled by having him here, but he's my brother and I do love him.

"Yay, my plan is going to work," Kaya smiles. I frown at her in confusion.

"Obviously, you're going to make Ashton jealous by you being with Theo. Therefor he'll see how amazing you are and then we can punish him for breaking your heart," Kaya says with a serious look.

I mumble a small thanks to them. I guess I'm still upset about Ashton, I can't die though. So I guess if he doesn't accept me I'll either live in an entirnity of misery or try to get over it and be mateless. Both choices suck, but they're survivable, I've seen both firsthand.
