Don't give me a lecture
Don't tell me what's right
Don't stare me down with cold eyes
Don't tell me I've let you down
Don't act like I'm what's wrong
Don't just stand there
You had your chance
You let me just slip through the cracks
You took the joy that I had
You made this mess
You are too prideful to see
You can not believe in the truth
You broke my heart into two
Take your jeep
Take your wedding ring
Take you accusations
Take your heartache
Take your empty promises
Take your yesterdays
And leave

No, I was never married or anything like that, but this is a poem I created as like my own creative writing challenge. I had fun, going into the mind of someone in a situation like this. I recommend trying it sometime. It will help with your characters, and to walk around in other people's shoes for a moment.

Thoughts from the Abyss
PoetryA thought flashes by, what is it saying? These are my random thoughts from the abyss. "God gives us the life he believes we can handle. He knows your strength, believe in that." Warning: I'm not a poet and I know it. You've been warned.
