Meetings

Erebus had woken up before me today and had gotten dressed in yet another perfect suit as I gradually sat up in bed and waited for him to finish, silently hoping that it would never come where he had to leave but know it would. He walked out from the bathroom after smoothing his hair back with gel, he looked intimidating as usual but he was supposed to as the alpha of alphas. He walked over to me with the soft, loving look in his eyes that had become usual since the first time I had met him as back then he had only looked at me with a cold stare. His hand caressed my cheek and I leaned into it starting to feel that pit in my stomach that came when he left, it wasn't that I felt like nothing without him it was just boring is all and it felt like I would be hurt for being in his home without him. My thoughts instantly left my mind once he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine I decided to just keep my hands on his shoulders so that the kiss wouldn't get too heated to keep him from getting to his meeting with another alpha on time. He pulled away before saying goodbye and that he would be back as soon as he could then walked out of the room quickly, I sat on the bed for awhile before getting up and walking downstairs to make myself breakfast. Today for my morning meal, I made toast and had some orange juice to go along with it then sat on the couch while fiddling with the remote to try and figure out how to make the TV work properly, I knew how to turn it on but had no clue how to change the channels on it. I gave up though and just watched the show that was playing which seemed to be some kind of murder mystery but it was the only thing that would entertain me at the time anyway, the front door then flew open and I fell off the couch at the loud slam that echoed through the living room with a small scream.

"Addison! Stop behaving as if your a dog on the hunt and walking into my house as if it's your own" Erebus voice yelled

"Oh stop your screaming dear brother I'm here to find your mate who I know exists because your whole pack has been trying to figure out when you will introduce her to them" Who I assume was Addison replied who also it seemed was Erebus sister, why hadn't he told me he had a sister? I stayed on the ground by the couch as Erebus made his way over to me, his loud footsteps made it clear that it was him as Addison's footsteps headed off in a different direction in the house, the top of my head peeked up from where I sat and Erebus instantly looked at me. He continued to stride closer to my tiny, hunched frame on the ground before scooping me up into his arms and kissing my cheek causing me to laugh quietly while pushing at his chest in a playful manner,

"My sister Addison wants to meet you, as you can probably tell," Erebus said calmly as if trying to soothe me from being nervous over his sister's presence

"Why didn't you tell me you had a sister? And did you get to finish your meeting?"

"Yes well-" he was suddenly cut off at the loud squeal that erupted from a girl with long brown hair that was very curly, unlike Erebus nearly pitch black hair that was straight. She rushed over to us and Erebus turned slightly away from her with a soft growl in warning while his grip on me tightened protectively

"Oh brother stop your fussing, your alpha growls don't affect me as a Luna mister" she teased at him.                                          

"I will fuss if you scare my mate away and I will do much worse then growl at you if you overstress her... she's fragile" he stated

I blushed slightly and looked in the other direction

"Well, just let me meet her, I am your sister I have the right to meet your lovely mate, as you have met mine"

Erebus looked at me worriedly but I just nodded and put on a smile at Addison as he sat me down on my feet while still staying very close from behind me. Addison smiled back at me before speaking

"Aww you're just perfect for him dear, small and sweet is just what that big tough guy needs in his life. I'm Addison as you already know and you are?"

"I'm Layla, it's nice to meet you Addison" I replied kindly

"Layla, it suits you. Well, I just wanted to say hi and make sure you knew that Erebus does in fact, have some family left" her voice stayed firm even at the last part,

"Yes, thank you, I'm glad I got to see you"

She smiled and hugged me not too tightly and I hugged her back before she turned and walked out of the house with a wave to us both.

"Well, it seemed like she was kinda in a rush," I said while turning to Erebus

"Her mate is waiting outside for her but she didn't want to bring him in here since it would be the very first time she has met you, and it also causes some worry from pack members since another alpha and luna are in our territory"

"What's he the alpha of?" It hit me that maybe her mate could be Alpha Michael, although I prayed it wasn't him

"Alpha Brandon from the Falling Rain pack, they had only met a few days ago, now he and I have formed an alliance since he is my sister's mate"

"So he was the alpha you were going to meet today?"

"Yes, then my sister smelled your scent on me and demanded to see you"

I only nodded in response before asking

"When can I be introduced to the pack?"

"Well since your unmarked and unmated, I didn't want you to be put out in front of everyone and have them know that you're vulnerable" his tone sharpened at the end slightly

"Oh" was my only response

"But, if you wanted to meet them it's alright with me but I'd just be extra cautious when I left the house, probably make sure there were more guards"

"There are guards around the house when you're gone?" I asked

"Well yes, to keep anyone from getting in except for my beta or anyone else that is allowed access in here"

"I would like to meet the pack if that's okay," I said nearly at a whisper

Erebus picked me up again suddenly and pressed his face against the side of mine and I laughed before wrapping my arms around his neck and pressing closer to him.

"Alright, you can meet the pack then but under one condition"

"And what condition is that?"

He leaned back so we could see into each other's eyes,

"You'll let me mark you" he whispered

My stomach dropped just at the thought of Erebus biting my neck but alpha males were very possessive, I didn't know though if I was ready for him to mark me just yet. Sensing my nervousness he continued,

"I'll give you a week starting today to let me mark you and you can decide on which day you want me to, and if you want to at the very last day of the week that's fine, but there's no going back after you make this deal with me"

"E-Erebus I don't know if I'm r-ready for that though" I stuttered while avoiding his gaze, not wanting to see his probably angered expression

"I'm giving you a week Layla, I'm sure that's plenty of time for you to decide sweetheart. But I won't let you meet the pack without knowing that I will mark you soon."

"O-okay, I agree to your deal"

"Good, now let's eat."
