1. Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikha Hint Bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum , the senior wife of Mohammed.
2. He is the second son of their 12 children and the fourth of his father's children

3. Fazza was schooled at Rashid school for boys and Dubai school of Government.

4.He continued his studies in the United Kingdom where he graduated from Sandhurst Royal Military Academy and later attended the London School of Economics- one of the best universities in the world: Ranked 4th according to QS World in 2015.

5. On 1 February 2008, he was named as the hereditary prince of Dubai.

In July 2009, he was appointed supreme president of the newly founded University: Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University-The learner-centred environment at the university is reflected in the support offered to learners with automated pre-enrolment and admissions support, e-virtual communities and learners' clubs, and additional learning resources such as the Library, e-Career and Placement Services, using the latest in ICT technologies to communicate with learners across the globe.
