"Br-Bryce?" Bel quietly says. She opened her eyes yesterday and the doctors say she's able to leave tomorrow, which is good. But she won't be able to do much when she goes back to California. She has to rest for another week before being able to do anything, really.
"Yea?" She points at the water bottle. I chuckle and handed her the water. "How are you feeling, love?" I ask. She smiles, "great" ever since she woke up, she hasn't made eye contact with me.
She doesn't want to be alone with me. I'm not mad about it, I understand.
"Bryce, you know I still love you." She tells me, making direct eye contact with me. I smile and nod, "Yes, I know. You're just going through a tough time right now. I understand. I will stick by your side through everything." I tell her.
She smiles and holds my hand.
