Love the song! It does or doesn't have to do anything with the story - I'm leaving it to your imagination! ^.^

New chapter, finally! It might be the longest chapter I've ever written, but I'm not too sure. There's a lot of explanation, and even though I tried to make a research before writing it, I'm not sure if I got everything right - scientifically speaking (I've never been good at these kinds of things). If you're a genius when it comes to science, biology and chemistry, don't hesitate to correct me! ^.^

Hope you'll enjoy the chapter!

The way down the tunnel took a long time. Normally, it would be an annoying obstacle, but with the tunnel being transparent, showing all kinds of weird creatures on the way down, the boys were quite fascinated. It took them awhile to get used to the fact the tunnel was see-through even on the bottom side, though. It meant they were able to see the never-ending depths of the ocean underneath their feet, which made everyone nervous. It was more than uncomfortable at the beginning of their descent, but all four boys forgot about it when the ocean creatures started to show up in the water all around them, providing a great show of colors and strangeness.

All of the species were so different from the ones back on Earth Corey couldn't stop looking at them. He knew they had to keep going, but few times, he just stopped walking so he could watch the animals more closely, which was the case at the moment.

"What are these?" he asked, pointing at a white creature not bigger than a rugby ball, body covered in what seemed to be millions of tiny feathers. It had two hind legs and two fins in the front that were linked to the legs. Whenever it made a move, it looked kind of like a bat, with a bit of imagination. Its eyes were purple with orange dots in it, not really fitting the size of the creature. There were small ears on its head too, and right in-between them, small horn-like things rose from its head. With a nose reminding Rey of a dog's one, it was cute. When Corey came closer, he couldn't help but chuckle. The creature's mouth was making it seem as if it was smiling at him.

"Oh, it is just a Fhea. They are quite common in these depths. You might see more than one because they are attracted to our body heat, so they tend to gather around the tunnel whenever someone goes down or up." Azka smiled, coming closer to Rey and pointing at Fhea's head.

"The protrusions on their heads are used to catch food. They feed on the germs living in the water, so whenever they are on hunt, the protrusions enlarge and spread out like small nets. All Fheas need to do after that is just swim around a bit, and they will catch a huge amount of food that can last them a month, sometimes even longer."

Corey turned from the alien back to the creature, eyes wide. After hearing all that, he couldn't help but wish it would decide to feed right now. It had to be interesting to see. To his disappointment, however, it just swam a bit closer to the tunnel wall and kept on staring at him.

Azka laughed at Rey's expression, shaking his head slightly. He should've expected reaction like this.

"I know you are curious and would love to find out about everything you will see on our way down, but it would take us twice the time, which is something we cannot afford. They are waiting for us down there, and we would not want to make them worry." He said after a while, and waited for Corey to start walking again, following shortly after. He remembered the first time he visited the city, feelings of nostalgia overcoming him for a second. He was no better than Corey back then, seeing the ocean life for the first time, so he couldn't really blame him.

"We are almost there," Izzy spoke up, looking in front of him at two big pillars going up above the surface.

Corey stopped again and looked up in awe. The pillars were thick, almost as thick as the ones at the gates, and shone with a soft white glow. When one looked more closely, there were at least four propellers visible in each of them, steadily moving.
