Jasons pov
I enter the room to find my beauty of a mate looking around the room.
" Where am I? " She asks without looking at me.
" The moonstone pack. I am the Beta , Jason Parker" I say formerly.
" I'm April. When can I get out of here? " she asks now looking at me in the eye.
Damn! How captivating her eyes are.
" First, what were you doing in my territory? " I need to hear more of her voice.
" I was attacked and I was running away. I didn't know I had trespassed! " she says quickly.
" Attacked by who? " I ask worry seeping through my voice.
" Listen! You don't have to act all worried when I know you're not! I know you're my mate so let's make this simple shall we? I April-"
I place a finger on her lips and I fight back the urge to kiss her.
" why are you rejecting me? " I ask.
" Weren't you going to do the same? " she asks.
" Nope! I would never! " I say immediately .
" So..... You accept me? " she asks vulnerability clear in her voice.
" No! " Her face falls but she quickly covers it up.
" Cool. So, when am I leaving? " she asks again.
" Never! " I say without thinking.
" Sorry Beta! I really can't stay here... I mean I already went through the whole rejection thing once and trust me when I say I'm not going to sit idly and wait for it to happen again! " she says fiercely.
I love the way she speaks her mind.
She is already challenging me and it's just day one!
Damn, how can I stay away?
Wait, rejected?
" You were rejected? " Anger rises in the pits of my stomach.
" That's none of your damn business! " she replies and gets out of the bed.
" Don't! You'll hurt yourself! " I growl.
She pushes past me and makes her way out of the pack hospital.
She continues walking away while I follow closely behind her.
Suddenly, she stops! She puts her head up and sniffs the air, she then starts searching through the area until it stops on one male warrior.
Her eyes light up and she runs towards him and he does the same.
She whispers something but all I catch is the name of the warrior :
"Dylan"
