3 days later...

"Dally baby, I'm hungry," I say, swinging my legs over the edge of the bed.

"Whoa whoa, lay back down."

"But I'm tired of laying down, my legs need to stretch."

"You sound like a little kid," he chuckles, walking over to me.

"Come on, I'll help you."

"I don't need help," I stand but soon after, he catches me in his arms when my knees go weak.

"Maybe I need a little help."

"You're so stubborn," he laughs.

"I want some beer," I try to stand with his help but I can feel my legs shaking. I just need to get used to standing.

"No more beer. For now," he says and I groan.

"I need clean clothes," I say, remembering I need to get home.

"I'll take you home then," he says, opening the door.

-

"Mom?" I call out once I open the front door.

"Keith?" She comes to the front and gasps when she sees me.

"Oh baby," she cries and tackles me in a hug.

"What's the matter?" I ask, rubbing her back.

"He came back. Your sisters in her room, scared out of her mind."

"When?" I ask angrily.

"Last night," she wipes her eyes and leads me to Allison's room.

"Allison?" I say when I open her door.

She was in the corner of her room on her bed, curled in a ball, crying her eyes out.

Dallas stands behind me with wide eyes.

I rush into the room, "Allie, hey," I lift her head and brush the hair out of her face.

"K-Keith?" Her voice is shaky and her eyes are bloodshot.

"I'm here, it's okay," she hugs me tightly and I rub her back to calm her down.

"Did he hurt you?" I ask softly.

She nods and pulls away, shakily lifting her shirt. There on her stomach was a large purple bruise spreading from her right rib to her belly button.

"He is so fucking dead," I stand but she grabs my arm.

"P-please don't go, he'll hurt you too," she starts crying again and I sit back down.

"Allison, once I'm finished with him, I will come back. I promise," I hold out my pinky and she wraps her pinky around mine, confirming the promise.

"I love you," she whispers.

"I love you too," I say with a smile.

She hugs me and I stand up and walk out.

"I'll be back soon, mom. Lock the door and don't let anyone else in except me or Dallas, I love you," I say, giving her a hug.

"Be careful, you know what he can do. I love you too," she says and I walk out and hop into Dally's car.

"Who is 'he'?" Dallas asks, starting the car and pulling out.

"My dad."
