3rd Person POV

Taehyung put down his phone after reading the message he received. After the party, Jungkook has been sending him a good morning text, every morning, without fail, and not morning text, Jungkook would also send him a good night text too. Of course, Taehyung would just left him on read but he still text him everyday.

Taehyung lets out a sigh.

"That was heavy" Taehyung turn his head and he is greeted by dimples. Namjoon takes a sit across from Taehyung and look at him. "Jungkook again?" He ask and Taehyung just nod his head and look down.

"What do you think i should do?" Taehyung ask his cousin. "I dont know. What is it that you want, Tae?" Namjoon asked back. "I want him to be happy" thats what he wish.. from the bottom of his heart, that is Taehyung's wish for Jungkook. "Then make him happy Tae, and judging by the story you told me he is clearly still loves you" Namjoon then lean a bit forward. He wants Taehyung to think through and thorough.

"Thats the thing hyung! I was so ready and determined when i ask for the divorce. I thought to myself that this is whats best for him. He loves her and he loves him and i shouldn't be in the middle of them and then he went out of his way to tell me that he loves me? All this time? I lost almost all my reason so now im, im......" Taehyung is looking for the right word to use when "lost?"

His father was listening to their conversation all along. He was just about to leave the office and go home but he overheard the two cousins conversation and decided to snoop in. He sees the frustration in his son face. He takes a sit next to Taehyung. "Taehyung-ah, im sorry you're just like me" his father suddenly said to him. And now clearly he has no idea whats going on. "You didnt just inherit my looks, you inherit my insecurity too" Taehyung look at his father with a disbelieve look. His father always have some sort of confident aura around him so to picture him with insecurity anxiety? Yea thats impossible.

"Once upon a time i left your mother and disappear. Told her we're over and just left." His face looks calm when he said this but it shook the hell out of Taehyung and a bit in Namjoon. "What?! When was this?? Where was i?" Taehyung then turn to his father. All of this is news to him. In his eyes both of them are perfectly happy. "Oh it was a long time ago when she was still nominated for Miss Korea. You not even born yet" he gave Taehyung a small smile. "Why?" Thats all he could ask his father. "She was gaining popularity and becoming a celebrity meanwhile i was a nobody, just a guy from Busan coming to Seoul looking for job." His father start.

"At first we just write each other letters and then she got serious with her career and im still a nobody. When she win the title thats when i decided to leave. I was no good for her, so i had to protect her reputation. I dont want her to be seen with me. But your mother, she's persistent. She found me and convince me. Besides, if i dont want to hurt her as a 'nobody' then i just have to become somebody that can be seen with her. So i continue my study and become a lawyer so i can protect your mother. I dont want her to regret choosing me" the room was quite afterwards. Taehyung just look down and play with his fingers.

"Even if you're a nobody, omma would still choose you" Taehyung said softly.

"Just like Jungkook would still choose you" his father finally speaks. The main reason why he told Taehyung about his ancient history is to make him understand on another perspective. Another point of view.

"It wont matter for your omma or Jungkook, but it matter to us, me and you. So if you dont want to hurt them, be someone who can protect them. Be somebody" his father finally said to him, and Taehyung understood. The whole point of his father story is to convey this. He hates it, but at this point, all of his determination started to weakened. He loves Jungkook, and he wants to be with Jungkook, but can he? Will everything be okay? What about Jungkook's reputation?

Then i just have to become somebody that can be seen with her

He just have to become somebody that can be seen with him.

He wants to be with Jungkook, but he's still hurting by Jungkook's decision and behavior in all those months. Whats even worse is Arisa is not even worth all of those efforts. He cant believe that she's Lisa's sister. Lisa is actually a nice girl, except for falling for his husband but still, nice enough.

"......hyung?"

Lisa is a beautiful girl, who, which he hates to admit, look perfect by Jungkook side. She's one of the reason why he wanted the divorce in the first place, watching them both made him realize that he can never be seen with Jungkook openly like that.

"Tae.....?"

But Jungkook said he still loves him, that means that he doesn't love her, right? But this whole divorce things is for Jungkook to be happy. What if Jungkook give up chasing him and decided to be with Lisa? Can Taehyung actually survive the second heartbreak? Can he survive without Jungkook?

"Taehyung, what do you think?" His father pats him on the shoulder. Apparently Taehyung is spiraling into his endless overthinking thoughts of scenario of what ifs. "Im sorry, what?" He asked back. Obviously wasnt listening to the conversation.

"I said how would you feel for a family dinner? Just a small gathering for your mother belated birthday. We cancel the first one" his father asked. Taehyung suddenly feel guilty, he's the reason why they cancelled the dinner, but then he had a brilliant idea. "Sure. Jimin actually work in a restaurant and i know the owner, he's really nice. I could rent the whole place just for us. It would be really nice, dont you think?" Taehyung suggest.

Namjoon and his father we're looking at each other and then Namjoon just shrug. "That actually IS a pretty good idea, im surprise Tae" Namjoon said to him and wink. "Surprise??" Taehyung give him a shock look. When Namjoon just wink at him, he reply with "rude!" And roll his eyes, pretending to be angry. Namjoon just laugh at Taehyung which expose his dimples and melt Taehyung's heart because come on, who could win against dimples?

"Alright, tomorrow night should be fine right? I'd go tonight but it might be too short notice to your friend so tomorrow is fine" his father gets up from his seat. Both Namjoon and Taehyung also gets up from their seats, preparing to leave. Namjoon has the key to the office so after double checking everything, he looks the office and leave.

Taehyung went to Jin's diner to meet with Jimin and ask Jin if he could rent the the place for tomorrow night. And also, he wants to talk about Yoongi's behavior.
