Graduation Outfit above

Rhea's POV

It was a week later when I finally saw my sister again. I was at the Cullen house. She had just finished spending the day with Jake. Edward brought her over, in a fit of rage as always. Carlisle had to look at her wrist. Apparently, she sprained it punching Jake in the face. Rose stormed off and I went after her.

"Is your sister always this moronic?" Rose asked.

"She gets it from Renee," I said.

The sliding glass door opened up behind us. "Rosalie, can we talk?" Bella asked. "Alone," she added after a short pause.

I scoffed. "Whatever you have to say, you can say in front of your sister," Rose said not turning around.

"I just want to know why you hate me so much," Bella continued.

Now it was Rose's turn to scoff. "I don't hate you. I mean I don't particularly like you but... Bella, I envy you."

"What? That's ridiculous."

"No, it's not. You have a choice. I didn't. None of us did. But you both do and you're choosing wrong. I don't care how miserable your human life is."

"My life is not miserable. I mean it's not perfect. Nobody's life is perfect."

"Mine was..." Rose finally told Bella the horrific story that she told me months ago. How she fell in love with a man named Royce King and what he did to her one night when he was drunk with his friends. She told Bella that she wished she was dead, that Carlisle never saved her. I rested my hand on top of her and gave it a firm squeeze. Very few people ever understand how hard it is to not be able to look at yourself in the mirror because you are disgusted by what you see.

"Things got better after I found Emmett. But we will always be this. Frozen. Never moving forward. That's what I miss the most. Possibilities. Sitting on a front porch somewhere, Emmett, grey-haired, by my side, surrounded by our grandchildren. Their laughter," Rose continued.

"I understand that that's what you want," Bella said. "But there's nothing I'm ever gonna want more than Edward."

"That's where you're wrong," I said. "There is one thing you'll want more, one thing you'll kill for... Blood." I walked back inside the house and left the two of them alone. "Carlisle, Emmett, can we talk in your office? Jas you can come too," I asked. All three of them nodded and we walked upstairs.

"What is it you wanted to speak about?" Carlisle asked once he shut the door. Thankfully his room is soundproof against even vampire hearing.

"It's more of a favor," I started. "I want you to find a way to use my blood to change Rose and Esme."

"This is a surprise. Why do you want to do that?"

"One thing both of them want is a family of their own. I know that Esme looks at us as her children but some part of her knows that we don't share her DNA. And the only thing Rose hates about this life is never moving forward. Always stuck in the same ten years of a human's life. I want to be able to give them a family and turning half-human seems like a good start. So what do you say?"

"I say, let's do it!" Emmett exclaimed.

"I'm in," Carlisle said.

I looked at Jas. "What do you say?"

"If this is something you really want to do then I'm not going to stop you," Jas said.

I gave him a megawatt smile before wrapping my arms around him. "One more thing. I want it to be a surprise so you two can give it on your anniversaries."

"We can do that. Let's take a sample of your blood as well as Jasper's," Carlisle said taking out two needles. I gave him my arm and he carefully took some blood. Jas did the same and then we were on your way.

The following morning I was being woken up by my enthusiastic Dad. I looked at my wall calendar and saw why. Graduation day. I finally opened Alice's present to me. It was a beautiful red dress. It had a halter-top that was covered in clear stones. A deep red skirt billowed out. I hung it up outside my closet and proceeded to do my hair. I took the top half of my hair and tied it, leaving a few strands to frame my face. I put the dress on and walked downstairs. Dad looked shocked when he saw me.

"You look gorgeous," Dad said.

"Thanks. I'm not done yet but thanks."

"I can't believe how grown-up you are. Soon enough you'll be off in college and then you'll have a family of your own."

"Don't worry, I'll always be your little girl." A few tears escaped my eyes. I wrapped my arms around Dad and his wrapped around mine. "No more tears, Rose might actually hurt me if even a single strand is out of place."

Dad let go of me and I walked back up to my room to finish my makeup and put on my pair of black flats. As I was finishing up I saw Bella leaving her room in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I wasn't sure why I was surprised that she would do something like that.

Once we got to the gym they ushered us into our seats alphabetically. Jessica Stanley gave a speech about making mistakes. I thought it was fitting. Bella was about to make the biggest and most permanent mistake of her life. They called us up one by one and all w could hear was the room full of claps. When it got to Bella's name I saw Dad stand up and he stayed standing after my name was called. I heard a very distinct holler from a brutish vampire. My cheeks heated from all the attention and I scurried off the stage.

Dad met up with us after we separated from Edward. Jas agreed to give us time and space while Edward missed the memo. Thankfully Dad still scares him enough to make him back away. As we were walking to the car Dad was telling us how proud he was of us. How we were his greatest achievement. Bella didn't understand but I did. Dad let it slide and told Bella that one day she would understand when she had a child of her own.

I rode with Dad to the diner for celebratory dinner. I immediately ordered the biggest milkshake and Dad laughed when I told him to get his own. I also ordered a burger well done with curly fries. Bella, as usual, ordered something green, and Dad ordered a steak. We ate our meal in peace and quiet. Then Bella drove us to the Cullen's for Alice's party.
