Grayson layed on the bed with his hands interlaced behind his head. He stared at the ceiling in the dark room for a very long time, lost deep in his thoughts.

Earlier, the guests had left and that made Grayson feel more uncomfortable in the face of his current family members. Grayson figured that they had already noticed his strangeness. He knew they were exchanging glances amongst themselves with hidden meanings when they thought he wasn't looking. It was quite obvious.

'This isn't good, I'm going to fuck everything up if this continues. They're just going to be more and more suspicious... My acting skills aren't that good either. That'll be on the top of the list to buy among all the skills I'm in need of.'

His thoughts keep switching from topic to topic, digressing from time to time. But one thing remained the same, each time he somehow kept making his way to his suppressed memories of his own parents. His attempts to calm himself were futile and just plain exhausting.

Rushing them to go, to leave.... Then Boom. Coffins. Graves. Alone.

"... Dammit. Stop," Grayson takes in a deep breath. "Just move on." He turns his body to his right side, resting his head underneath his folded arm and bringing the blanket closer to himself with his left hand. Then he closed his eyes and tried to calm down the unpleasant, high-functioning thoughts going through his mind.

Grayson grunts in annoyance and flails around in frustration. He kicked the blanket off to the ground and then sat up with his legs criss crossed. He slowly inhaled and exhaled and opened his blank eyes in the darkness.

He reaches for his phone to look at the time.

3 hours.

It's been 3 hours of trying to sleep and resting his thoughts. His enhanced hearing certainly wasn't willing to help. Instead it was like the skill was mocking him by trying to keep him awake with every little sound coming from miles away. He wanted to sleep but couldn't, like tasting the feeling of insomnia all over again. A very stuffy feeling overcame him and he didn't like it.

"Parasite."

[Yes, Host?]

"Activate your music function. Hmmm... let's do something different today. Maybe something erratic? But make it pleasing."

Like hearing it out of the best noise canceling, bass boosting, and quality audio clearing head/earphones, the sounds pounded throughout his mind in all out 8D audio. This is a very, very noice function, a one and only best feature of Parasites, is what Grayson had deemed.

His smokey grey eyes closed while putting his attention to his training. He has been using Parasites abilities to his advantage with controlling his hay-wired enhanced hearing skill. He has experimented and exposed himself to many different genres, frequencies and all things that could easily make the average person deaf. The results were extremely satisfactory as it only took about 2-3 months to get back his grasp on what took about 3 years to learn in his time training in the space before this world. Grayson couldn't help but be more convinced that the system is a scam, even though the fact that he had already learned it and was only relearning is why it took so much less time.

But Grayson also suspected that his control loosened because this body couldn't handle it, the average human can in no way handle it, especially since this world is in the lower levels. The situation could've been like how when he used his soul power in the last F class world, a D class body cannot handle so much power.

Throughout these 3 months he had also found a few more things about Parasites newly added function: He could still hear outside sounds clearly while the music played regardless of volume, the music kind of fades out into the background when hearing the voices of others, and this function can bring more stability to not only Grayson's skill control but also a calming sensation that he can feel down to his bones. Finally, the fact that this function can also identify and save the complete song to even those that have only been hummed or are completely out of tune, this function can properly find the correct song that I took interest in and save it in a separate system file in only a matter of seconds for future reference. That last feature especially reminded Grayson of the app name 'Shazam'.
