Ryzen POV

Even though I have gone through a very surreal phenomenon and realised a lot of things in my life, I wouldn't dare claim that I already know everything in this world.

But, there is one debatable question that I know the answer to.

'What is it that makes us who we are?'

Some claim that it is either their name, body or background that makes up their identity.

But, I think they're all wrong...

In actuality, it is our souls that make us who we are.

Names and backgrounds are merely worldly things, that can be changed very easily.

On the other hand, a body is only a physical object. It cannot be compared to a soul, which is an immaterial thing.

The soul only interacts with the body and ultimately, it is our soul that is conscious, that is the essential part of each of us.

Our soul or our spirit is the source of our identity. We have an immaterial self that lives in our bodies and experiences the world. It is the real us, the one deep inside our bodies.

The soul stabilisation process made me feel like I was in a never-ending dream. Sorcellerie told me that it was only a quick process in the place we were in. But in the real world, it took a bit of time.

Once I opened my eyes and felt that I was back into a body, I looked up beside me.

A familiar man leaned at the head of the bed, one of his hands tightly holding mine. It was almost like the same scene that I saw from the one that Sorcellerie showed me...

His eyes were closed, but there was a slight stubble on his chin. Even though it was not so obvious, he had a different appearance compared to how he usually looked like.

His hand was distinctively defined, slender and warm. It was the right size that covered my entire hand up.

I only moved slightly, but it was enough for him to open his eyes.

He gazed at me, startled for a while and seemed to not know how to react. He even blinked for a few times.

I stared at him with a slightly curved smile, amused at his reaction.

"You finally woke up.."  Lennox uttered in a stunned tone.

I nodded a bit at him, not taking my eyes off his.

"Do you feel unwell anywhere? Wait, I must call the doctors now so they can check on you." he questioned closely.

Seeing his furrowed brows and distressed expression, I've never seen him so anxious like this. He was not even this anxious when he encountered the unjustified and childish ploys from the national government.

"No... just stay here. I am feeling fine." I replied, assuring him with a small smile.

Although he looked uneasy with my request, he only licked his lips and quietly obliged.

"How long have I been in this state?"

"Almost a month..."

I raised my eyebrows a bit that. For me, it didn't feel that long while I was in that place. It felt rather short, actually. Who knew it took this long for me to come back, huh?

Looking at this man right now, he must've been so worried.

Even in that scene that Sorcellerie showed, he seemed to have always been here, waiting for the moment I open my eyes again...
