"Do not go gentle into that good night,

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

-Dylan Thomas

"What?" Sirius asked sharply. Fear grew inside him like a monster, the same fear that usually caused him to do something reckless or idiotic. He tried to swallow and push the fear away, but it remained, and it grew. "What's wrong with Eva? What happened to her? I thought she was with her mum! What happened?"

"I don't know!" He looked ready to rip his hair out. Sirius had never seen him like this before and it scared him. "She apparated into my backyard and passed out!"

"Is she okay now? Is she hurt? I mean, she's not-?" He couldn't bring himself to say the word out loud.

"I don't know, Sirius!" James yelled, throwing his arms up in the air. "I don't know! I don't know anything! Stop asking me questions, you're not the only one scared out of their bloody mind!"

Sirius closed his mouth at this and thought through his next sentence. Exhaling heavily, he said, "Let's just go, please."

James nodded and the two boys stepped into the fireplace, transporting them back into the Potter living room, where Mrs. Potter was still tending to Eva's injuries. Mr. Potter nodded at the two boys. James went to stand by his father, but Sirius immediately moved around the couch and stood behind it just to be closer to her.
