I sat in Marcus's apartment with our Chinese takeout.Spending time with him was fun and easy.

We sat close together on his cozy couch.
"What about you?Why don't you have any kids?"I asked
He shrugged."Wanted to do it the right way."
"Marriage and all that?"I asked
"Yeah.My father brought me up like that.He's always been someone I've looked up to.How he treats my mom and the way he provides..I want to be able to do that."He said
I nodded."He sounds like a good man."
"He really is."He smiled
"Aww."I smiled and squeezed his cheeks together
"Alright alright."He said
I set my noodles down and walked over to his record player.
"Ooh Marvin Gaye."I said going through his records
"How do you work this thing?"I looked back at him
He got up from the couch and stood behind me.His presence behind sent chills down my spine.
He reached around me and grabbed the record.
"Here.Take it."He said
I grabbed it from him.He guided my hands to set it on the record player.
"Now gently place the spindle down."He said
I did so and Sexual Healing started to play lowly.He turned the sound up and I turned to face him with a smile on my face.
"You have to dance with me you know?"I told him
"I don't remember saying I'd do all that."He said
I ignored him and grabbed his hands.

He chuckled and pulled me into his chest.
"Fine.You win."He said

I sat down on his couch.I checked my phone and saw a missed call from Aubrey.His first LA show is tonight.I got tickets for Elle and Jason for tomorrow night so that's when I'll be going.
