~Rachel~

After laying on Colton's bed with nothing to do for an hour, Colton came into his room after a long phone call.

"Who called you?" I asked.

"My dad."

I sat up from laying downs. "Your dad?"

"Yes, he called to tell me that he is coming to visit us. This will be the first time since, the accident I had that we will see each other again. He left for London right after my sister's funeral." he said running a hand through his hair.

"I am having a hard time figuring out whether or not this is a good or bad thing." I said

He sighed. "Well, it is good because I finally get to see him, but it's my dad."

"I don't see why that is a bad thing, I want to meet him."

"Rachel, you've got to understand that he still thinks that I act the same as I did when I lived back in Colorado. So, he does not treat me like I am an adult or like I have matured. He isn't going to understand what a turn around I have made. He thinks that I still go out to parties, drink, sleep around, and stuff like that. He didn't think that this move was a good idea in the first place. The reason it is a bad thing is because I don't want him to treat you like you are just some girl I'm with for the week. You are anything but that."

I hopped of the bed and threw my arms around him. He was surprised, it took him a second to realize what was going on before he returned the hug. "Just be yourself. Let him see that you have matured into a kind young man, make him think differently. If he cannot take the time to really recognized that you have grown up, then that is his fault. There is nothing wrong with a positive change, because that is what has happened with you. If he can't see that then screw him. Honestly, I don't care what your dad thinks of me. " I said. "Don't worry about it."

"You're right." He pecked my forehead with a kiss. I pulled away from his body. He grabbed my glasses off of my face. "Colton! I can't see! Give them back!"

"I'll pass on that request!" He ran out of his room. I attempted to run after him. Surprisingly, on my way down the stairs I didn't trip. He was still ahead of me. Suddenly, I ran into him. He had stopped right in front of me. "I realized something. Do you remember when we were at my house in Colorado and I found out that you wear glasses?"

I nodded. "Yes, what about it?"

"Well, I kind of remember asking you to wear your glasses to school for at least one day and I don't think that you have done that yet."

"No, I haven't done that." I replied.

"Can you wear them tomorrow?" He asked.

I slowly said, "I guess. I really hate them though but, I'll do this just for you."

"Here you go." He handed me my glasses. I slipped them on. "What time is it?" he asked.

I checked my phone. "Uh it is 4:07pm, why?"

"Do you want to come to the airport with me?" he asked.

"Why would you be going to the airport?"

"To pick my dad up." he said.

"Only if I can go over to my house really quick and grab the sandwich that I have in the refrigerator." I said.

"Deal." He said.

---

"Are we there yet?" I asked.

"Almost." he said. "Sometimes you act so much like a child."
