The French were actually pushed back all to way close to their capital. While Belgium is almost completely taken over by Germany. The British, French, and Belgian troops do what they can to prevent the advancement of what little land of Belgium is left.
The prisoners of war on the French side are treated well despite the anger towards the Prussians and Germans.
