"Ok everything is set!" The perky queen said with a smile

Poppy had been getting everything ready for the New Year's Eve dance ball and it was going to be absolutely perfect!

She had planned this moment for months and everything was going according to plan
The party started 10:00 o'clock at night but poppy couldn't wait

She twirled and closed her eyes dreaming of her and her special someone on the dance floor she smiled and giggled

She would make eye contact with the one for her and he would hold one hand on her waist and the other with her hand and they would slow dance forgetting about everyone and everything around them

She giggled and got out of her daydream knowing exactly who that special someone was

She looked down at her watch and yelped as she saw the time

9:00 pm

She only had one more hour till the party started! She ran quickly back to her pod to put on her special New Years dress

She raced around her pod searching for the perfect dress that satin and chenille had made for her

"Ugh! Where is that flipping dress?!"
Poppy was going crazy till she laid her eyes on a strapless blue dress with a big poppy flower around the waistline.

She smiled and quickly went to change as she fixed her hair and headed to the party on time as she smiled and waved to her friends

She was talking with her friends and laughing when someone tapped her shoulders she turned around and her mouth was wide open

It was her best friend Branch he was wearing a pink suit with a small flower on the pocket

He smiled sheepishly at her before she threw her arms around him
He stumbled back and his hands caught her waist as he try to process what was happening

He was glad poppy wasn't looking at him because he was a blushing mess but that didn't stop the snack pack from seeing and snickering at the young lovesick troll

Poppy parted from the hug and laid her eyes upon her "best friends" beautiful icy blue eyes
She was squealing from joy which made Branch blush even more he put his head down but this time poppy noticed and playfully punched him in his shoulder which made him blush even more

If no one knew better it looked like he was choking poppy finally burst into laughter at the male troll

Branch looked up at the one he loved
She had the most beautiful laugh he chuckled and started laughing along with her

"You look cute when you blush" poppy said as she gently grabbed branch's hand interlocking it with hers

Branch smiled at this and this time he pulled poppy into hug making her blush, she smiled and hugged back as he picked her up and twirled her around making her squeal with joy

He finally put her down and they both laid their eyes upon each other
They turned their gaze upon the crowd
They were on the dance floor laughing and dancing
Branch grabbed poppy's hand and smiled

"W-would you like to have this dance with me?" Branch asked as he was bowing down he heard poppy gasp and felt tiny sweats form he quickly jolted up and made eye contact with poppy
