Peggy sat on Vanessa's couch, holding the poor crying girl.

"I'm such a fucking idiot!" Vanessa cried.

"Shh. No you aren't." Peggy soothed.

"I never should have said anything! Damn me!" Peggy just held her and rubbed circles in Vanessa's back.

"Wanna go to the thrift store?" Peggy asked.

"Sure." Vanessa sat up and wiped her cheek.

"Hello elizaaaaaa!" Peggy cheered as they stepped into the thrift store where she worked.

"How many times have a told you dummies to leave your bikes outside?" Eliza asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Sorry Bizzy Lizzy." Peggy shot finger guns as her and Vanessa placed their bikes outside.
The two girls shopped for quite some time until Vanessa had to go to book club.
Peggy stayed, she just had a gut feeling she needed to. After her hunch was satisfied, she walked outside to get her bike.

"You're Peggy Schuyler, right?" Someone asked, coming up to her.

"That depends, who's asking?" Peggy asked, clicking her yellow helmet under her chin.

"Usnavi de la Vega."

"Oh fuck nah." She yelled, spinning around.

"Please just listen to me. I really need a ride, kid."

"First of all, don't call me kid, I'm 18. Second, I'm on a fucking bike, what do you expect me to do?" Peggy asked, bewildered.

"Oh, didn't see that." Usnavi replied.

"I was literally putting my helmet on. You think I'm wearing a helmet to drive a car?"

"Whatever. I'll give you whatever you want, just please give me a ride." She stared at him for a minute.

"How about 35 bucks, a bag of jolly ranchers, and a bag of hot Cheetos? Oh, and a strawberry kiwi arizona." She concluded.

"Yeah, sure. Whatever." Usnavi replied.

"Fine. Get on the me squared."

"The what?" Usnavi asked. Peggy let out a very long sign before replying.

"I'm just gonna let it soak in stupid." He just stared at her, his head cocked slightly. "My name is Peggy. My nickname is peg. Figure it out."

"You want me to get on the pegs of you bike?" He asked.

"No shit stupid." Peggy deadpanned. "Wait." She popped her head back in the thrift store. "Eli, can I borrow your helmet?"

"Yeah sure! It's on the hook right next to you." Eliza smiled sweetly. Peggy smiled back a grabbed the helmet.

"Here." Peggy held her own yellow helmet out to Usnavi. "Nobody rides on me squared without a helmet."

"That sounds so wrong." He mumbled clipping the helmet.

"Get on!"

Vanessa stepped out of the recreation center where her book club was held. A yellow bike skidded a couple feet in front of her.

"Ok fuck-o. I can't take you any further than this, soooo. 15 bucks, jolly ranchers, arizona. Off you go, gimme my helmet."

"Thanks kid." The guy said, taking off the helmet.

"Don't call me that!" She yelled. "Oh hey V!"

"Hi Margarita." Vanessa said calmly, clipping her own bike helmet. Usnavi looked around, saw her, and nodded awkwardly. She nodded her head back at him and sat on her bike.

"Ride with me, bitch!" Peggy yelled, waving her hand for Vanessa to follow her. Vanessa chuckled bitterly before riding off with Peggy.

"Before you ask questions." Peggy yelled over heavy traffic. "He promised me $35 and edibles so yeah."

"I don't care, peg." Vanessa laughed.

"Then we shall pretend it never happened." Peggy exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air, then remembered she was riding a bike and had to grip the handles.

"Sounds good to me." Vanessa said, laughing at the girl riding next to her.
