Willow's POV

After recovering from another hangover from hell. I really have to stop doing this to myself. I was really looking forward to a girls' day. We decided that because the weather supposed to turn ridiculously cold with possible snow in the next few days, we would enjoy this uncharacteristically warm fall day by doing a picnic at that lake that Dom had taken me to. We drove up seen as how Jenna can't shift while she is pregnant, it's not safe for the baby. It's a 1.5 hour drive by car which floored me when I found out.

We all piled into my car after loading the back with blankets, towels, a bluetooth speaker, and of course food. Lia is the one who insisted on the towels just in case we decided to go for a swim she was also in charge of the drinks. Jenna was in charge of the food which consisted of barbecue pulled pork, corn bread, cole slaw, various chips, cookies, and cobbler. Lani was in charge of the music and she is determined to teach me to dance which will be an interesting experience to say the least. I'm in charge of capturing this day on film, the more pictures the better.

We left early in the morning at the same time the guys headed over to the pack house to help finalize everything before all the visiting alphas show up. Dom let me know that it will be an all day event and to feel free to go to the pack house whenever we get back home because they will most likely still be there. After hugs and kisses we piled in my rover and blasted the tunes on the way to the lake.

It was just as beautiful as I remember although the trees were significantly more bare the colors were still breath taking and the sun shining on the water made it look like it was dusted with glitter.

"LAST ONE IN IS A STINKY ROGUE!!!" Lia shrieked from behind me right before streaking past and jumping into the lake.

"What the Hell!" I gasp as the splash nearly hit me. "You're going to freeze your ass off you crazy loon!" I yell at her when her head finally popped through the surface of the water near the middle of the lake.

"Not a chance! Werewolves are naturally hot!" She yelled before diving back under.

"She has always been on the wilder side but we wouldn't have it any other way." Lani laughed while she spread out the blanket and set up a chair for Jenna.

I pulled out my camera and started snapping candid shots. Lia laughing as she tries to splash us. Jenna lounged back in her chair leaning her head back with her eyes closed while the sun shined down on her. Lani holding her sunhat on as a breeze threatened to blow it off her head.

Lani tried in vain for over an hour to try to teach me how to dance. Before declaring, "Willow you are hopeless in the dancing department. I suggest sticking to the tactic that Dom started where he just lifts you up and carries you around the dance floor." All of us started laughing until the sound echoed off the surrounding mountains.

"I told you I can't dance. You were the one who insisted that anyone can dance with enough practice." I shrugged.

"Well you certainly proved me wrong. I would accuse you of purposely being terrible except I could tell you were actually trying, but girl, you suck at dancing." she laughed as she tried to mimic my dance moves but ended up looking more like a stiff jointed octopus.

Lia finally dried off and joined us on the blanket after calling us all wusses for not jumping in the water with her. We filled our plates with the yummy foods and grabbed our drinks of choice and had just settled into our girls' day feast when Lia broke the silence.
