August's POV

I was in my office arranging a new shipment when there was a knock on the door. Inside came Valerio with files in his hand. I knew what he found.

"Here. Everything is here." Valerio said and walked out of my office. I started getting nervous and I don't know why. I asked Ivona about her full name to make research on her.

I opened the file and the first thing that I noticed was a beautiful picture of her. Since the first time I saw her, I was enchanted.

Mia Santiago

So she is Hispanic. No wonder she had those curves when we first met. She even looked amazing when I saw her a few days ago.

Age: 24

She is younger than me but it doesn't matter. Age isn't important but experiences in life. And maybe I like this fact.

I turned a few pages forward and the little kid's picture showed up. He resembled me a lot. And that lowkey scared me.

Leon Santiago

Her surname. I'm guessing she hasn't had anyone when she gave birth. So she didn't want a father of her child in her life. That thought made me clench my teeth together. But it will not last for long.

Age: 5

This was enough to confirm all my assumptions. The little boy was no doubt, my son that I never knew about. Fucking hell. I had a son and after five years I finally found out. But truthfully, I did like the idea of having a kid.

It was time to pay some visit to my little girl. I won't let her disappear again. Now that I found her I won't let her go anywhere. I decided to wait until the evening when I supposed they will be home.

Mia's POV

I was finishing with my work and was ready to go to the bus station when John stopped me.

"Mia, I wanted to ask you something." He stated nervously.

"Of course."

"I thought about asking you on a date. That's if you're willing to go. I liked you for a long time and I want us to go on a date. Please." He explained. My cheeks got heated at his words. Nobody ever told me this.

And he even said please. Maybe, I should say yes. Going on one date won't hurt. I need to relax a bit. But there was still uneasiness in the pit of my stomach.

"Okay," I replied. His face brightened in an instant and he hugged me unexpectedly.

"Thank you so much. I won't disappoint." He smiled.

"I know. I need to go pick up Leon and you can text me later." I said. He nodded eagerly as we departed. I walked to the nearest bus station right on time.

I felt like I was being watched but decided to shrug it off. I'm sure my mind was playing tricks with me. I entered the empty bus and sat at the back. I was excited to go see my son and I'm sure Laura had a good time with him.

When I reached her house, there was her and Leon with the ready backpack. They were teasing each other until Leon saw me and flung himself in my arms making me almost lose my balance.

"Hey, baby. I missed you." I said lifting him on my hip. I knew he was older now but I could still carry him on my hip as he wasn't that heavy.

"I missed you too, mommy." He said as he leaned his head against my shoulder.

"He almost fell asleep but decided to wait for you." Laura chuckled.

"He was probably tired. Thank you so much for looking after him."
