No offense, but I think many people focused on Dazai leaving the mafia solely because of Oda's last words, to turn to the bright side, but not many people seem to remember that Mori was the reason Oda died.
Mori planned the whole thing, he lured Mimic into Yokohama and sent Oda to Death's door on purpose to make Dazai leave the mafia because he was afraid of Dazai. He was the one who leaked the information to Mimic that Oda had orphans under his care because he knew that the leader of Mimic would hurt the kids juz to lure Oda out to fight with him. And when Dazai wanted to go to aid Oda in the fight, Mori tried to stop him.
So Oda's last words weren't the only reason Dazai left, he also left because he couldn't stay with the murderer of his friend.
Anyways, I hope you liked the story~ I came out with the plot all by myself so please inform me of any plot holes.
