Chapter 34

Ryujin's PoV

After the photoshoot, we went home and everything went back to the way it was. Yeji still being a mother and a wife to me. I'm actually surprised that she wasn't moved by my cold shoulder. It has been a month since she lost the ring and I am planning to give it to her soon.

Taeoh is with Beomgyu and Minjeong and I am alone in my office since I'm letting my staff do the work. Where is Yeji? I want to see her. Then my phone notified me.

Are you tired?

I creased my brows because of confusion. Why would she ask me this out of the blue?

You're not yet tired after running in my mind the whole day?

I bit my lip to stop myself from smiling. I'm loving it because she's trying so hard even though it's not in her image to give a pick-up line

"What are you smiling at?" I heard Bambam asked

"Bam!" I said as I put my phone down

"Stop acting like we haven't seen each other in a long time. We seriously work together, Ryujin," Bambam said

"What are you doing?" He asked when he sat down in front of me

"Nothing. Just texting Yeji," I told him as I played with the ring on the table

"You haven't given it back yet?" He asked

"Is it obvious?" I sarcastically replied

"You dumbass!" He said and I just gave him a confused look

"Yeji is beautiful! She is hot! And you just took away the thing that will show that she is not available! Don't come to me complaining that everyone is all over your supposedly-fiancé when you're not doing shit about it!" Bambam sermon

I kicked his leg under the table

"What was that for?!" He complained

"For calling my Yeji hot. You have no rights," I said

"Shut up, Ryujin. Do something about it," He told me

"Anyway, what are you doing here?" I asked

"Yuna invited us to her party before she leaves," He said

"Ah, yes. I'm not going," I told him

"What? Why?" He asked

"I'd rather stay at home and be with Yeji and Taeoh," I said

"Stop being a killjoy. Loosen up, Shin! Bring Yeji with you and Taeoh can stay in Yeji's place!" He told me

"But—"

"No excuses. You're coming. It's a sort of reunion so Beomgyu will also be there," He cut me off

"You could've just messaged me, Bam," I told him

"I needed to see my dumbass best friend," He replied before going out

I looked at the ring which was in my table. Then I looked at my phone.

I grabbed my coat, bid my goodbyes to my coworkers and I drove to the hospital. Her shift isn't done after 3 hours but Bambam has a point and I am not risking it. What if there are single dads out there that want my fiancé? No way.
