Chapter 9: A Winter Story

"Fake"

No mercy, no grace,
Return to ash and race the game,

Indulge yourself without lightness,

Be mighty, be fearless,
Never be weak and useless,
Keep your mouth shut,

I was welcomed by an unknown and suffocating space right away when I opened my eyes.

And out of nowhere a numinous spark of light appeared in the dark-covered space. It was blinding but I felt to myself I was drawn to the light.

I tried to reach it and I was able to hold the light in my palm. So enchanting and strange. While admiring the beauty of the light, it suddenly turned dark.

A frightening sparkle of dark. I tried to let it go but it didn't. The sparkle of dark became hostile and started to expand its size.

This time rather that letting it go I throw it out of fear. The sparkle of dark became a fearful snake and attack me. It hits my eyes and the sparkle of dark spreads into my body like a roots.

"Aghh!!" Painful! It's painful!
My eyes hurts! It's throbbing like crazy!

The pain then circulate in my body.

Please, no!! No!

"AGH!!" I yelled louder. I can't bear it!!

A series of events clouded in my head. Like a fast forward episode. My eyes can't follow it because their are many of it flowing in my mind.

There's a woman.

A child.

Knife.

Blood and tears.

Children.

Death.

Screaming.

Laughter.

Gift.

Books. Many books.

Tears aggressively fall down on my eyes. My hearts beating quickly and my breathes shaking. My body is trembling weakly.

Hurts. Everything hurts. Why it won't stop?!

Crown.

Black mist.

Forest green eyes.

Puppets.

Death.

Sacrifice.

...............huh?

"As long as he is fine?" Raffaelo repeated.

"Yes."

Raffaelo sighed. He was silent for a moment.

"Raffael, you know why are we doing this, right?" He said bitterly.
