Chapter forteen: the date

*time skip to a few days before the second task
Y/N POV:

It had been a day or two since the last task and i was in the courtyard talking to a few random other Slytherin first years about where there next class was when I heard a sweet voice

"Hey"

I turned around to see Cedric diggory standing there

"Oh hey ced, what's up?" I say as the girls walked away "well I was wondering if you wanted to hang out some time later" he said giving me a warm smile "oh I'm sure I'd love that" I say smiling back "alright then meet me at the astronomy tower at midnight" he says smirking "see you then diggory" I say smirking and walking away

He's actually quite charming

"Who is?" Matteo says from behind me

"Hmm? What do you mean?" I say "oh shit you were in my head weren't you?" I say stoping in my tracks and turning to face the boy that towered over me like a- a- really hot skyscraper? Yeah I don't really know either but one thing I do know is that he's hot

"Maybe I was maybe I wasn't" he says with a smug smirk

"DUDE!" I wack him on the arm "NOT FUNNY" I say scolding him and turning to walk away, but of course he didn't approve so he grabbed my wrist and yanked me back "Matteo please, I have to get to class" I say looking at the floor

He used two fingers to push up my chin so I'd be looking at him

"Who. Is. Charming?" He said sternly

"Oh for merlins sake why do you care so much? You don't own me, and why do you all the sudden get jealous when I'm gonna hang out with another boy?!I say taking his hands off me and beginning to raise my voice just a little "Your hanging out with another boy?" He says calmly but seeming to get very mad by this news  "yeah Matteo, now just let me go to class" I say trying to walk away but he grabs my wrist again "ouch Matteo" I say trying to get out of his grip "who are you hanging out with?" He says not letting go "Matteo stop I need to get to class and this kinda hurts" I say trying to get out of his strong grip again "I'm not letting you go until you tell me who your hanging out with" he says still holding on to my wrists "Matteo what the fuck let go of my wrists were both late to class now" I say desperately trying to escape his grip

He finally let go of my after watching me struggle for like a minute

*time skip to the end of the day in my dorm*

"Hey pans" I say from the bathroom "what's up?" She said back from inside the dorm "can you cover for me if you need to tonight please" I say applying mascara to my eyelashes "oh um sure, where are you going?" She says walking into the bathroom "ooh is it a date?" She says leaning her side against the wall "yes actually it is" I say smiling "ooooh who's it with?" She says smiling "I'm not telling" I say smirking and walking out of the bathroom "oh come on pleeeeaaaasssseee?" Pansy gave me puppy dog eyes "hmmm nope." With that I walked out of our dorm

*at the astronomy tower*

"Well hello there" a sweet but deep voice called out startling me just a bit

"hello" I say smiling

"I'm so glad you came tonight" he says smiling

"So what do you want to do first?" I say walking over to him

"What in the hell do you think you're doing here?" I heard another deep voice call out

"Matteo?" I ask looking around to see where the voice is coming from

"Yes Matteo, so this is the guy your going out with tonight?" He says eventually walking into the light with a cigarette in his hand

"Yes and why do you care?" I say getting really annoyed at him today

"Why do I care?.. why do I- you know what? I'm just gonna let this play out for now.. enjoy your 'date' " he says winking at me and walking away

"What was that all about?" Cedric asks me

"I have no idea" I say turning to him and laughing

*time skip to the end of the date at like 1:40 am*

I was sneaking back to my dorm when I saw Matteo on the couch in the common room asleep

Should I wake him? He was kind of a jerk to me all day for some reason but I guess I could just be the bigger person

I shrug and walk over to him and get on my knees

"Matteo" I whisper shaking him a little "Matteo you can't sleep here" I whisper again shaking him a little harder

"Hmmmm" he groans and opens his eyes a little
"Back already?" He smirks rubbing his eyes and yawning

"Oh shut up" I say getting up

"Why should I?" He asks sitting up

"Because for some reason you've been an arse to me all day and I decided to do something nice for you so you wouldn't wake up in the morning and be embarrassed because some first years saw you sleeping and now you continue to be a bloody jerk" I say whisper yelling and I begin to walk out

"Wait y/n" he says and I stop for a second

"Look I'm sorry I just got a little jealous of diggory" he admits and I stand there for a second and then continue walking to my dorm

Heyy peoples yes I know there's not a ton of drama buuuut you got to see a little over protective/jealous Matteo (which you will probably be seeing a little more but idk) sorry for some reason he's just really soft around you usually but idk people change
