9.Cheeku

Virat was still sleeping. Rohit untangled himself as he was in deep sleep. He got freshen up and had some breakfast as insisted by Mahi bhai.

Virat got up rubbing his eyes feeling little better. Rohit saw that and held his hands.
'Kitne baar bola hai don't rub ur eyes like that'

'Toh kaise karu' asked Virat irritated

'Aaram se kar .. puri red ho gayi hai' said Rohit.

'Thik hai Abhi ? .. fever kam ho Gaya na' asked Rohit touching his forehead.

'Ha Ro it's okay now' said Virat

'How do u know ? Pehle khudko toh pata bhi nahi tha ki fever hai .. u were sleeping peacefully' said Rohit

'Common get up.. freshen up. You have to have ur lunch.' Said Rohit

'Meko nahi Khana Ro' told Virat laying down again.

'Aise kaise nahi Khana .. breakfast bhi miss hua hai. Khana padhega' said Rohit sternly.

'Nahi Khana hai .. man nahi hai' said Virat pulled comforter up to his face hiding it.

Rohit tried to pull the comforter but Virat was too stubborn.
'Virat kya zidd hai yeh' said Rohit sternly.

'Kya ho raha hai yaha' asked Mahi entering the room.

'Bhai dekho na Virat ko .. na freshen up hona hai na kuch Khana hai ..'
Rohit said complaining to him.

Mahi sat beside and pulled the comforter from Virat's grip.
'Kya hua bacha Kyu nahi Khana hai ?' Asked Mahi softly.

'Bhai pura kadwa hai taste abhi .. man nahi kar raha'
Said Virat with his puppy eyes and Rohit just rolled his eyes to see him making excuses

'Bhai yeh sab bahane hai iske' said Rohit

'Bhai dekho na kaise bol raha hai' complained Virat.

'Rohit don't say like that .. Virat juice try kare.. thoda sa' said Mahi softly caressing his hair to which Virat nodded.

'Meri toh baat bhi nahi sun raha tha' whined Rohit.

'Ha toh u didn't said itne pyaar se' said Virat.

'Abhi better feel ho raha hai' asked Mahi softly

'Ha bhai .. waise bhi itna nahi tha' said Virat sitting up.

'Itna nahi tha matlab .. thoda bhi hota hai toh u have to take care' said Rohit.

'Okay'.. Virat didn't want to argue more on that how he was habitual with occasional fevers and all that.

'Chalo Virat get a little freshen up .. there is team bonding type session by the poolside .. so we have to go to that' said Mahi softly

'And as u has fever u will sit by the pool .. and have some juice and snacks' said Mahi.

'Bhai meko bhi jana hai pool mai' pleaded Virat.

'Virat aaj nahi .. phir kabhi. For today u just enjoy side mai' said Rohit now.

'Chalo now come downstairs I am waiting' said Mahi.

Virat and Rohit came down to see everyone already in the pool playing volleyball.

'Rohit tu bhi ja mere sath bor ho jayega'
Virat said not wanting him to get bored because he is sick.

'Nahi mai hu na yaha tu beth aaram se.. yeh juice le' said Rohit handing over the glass to him.

'Rohit aaja na ..' shouted Yuvi pa from the pool.

'Tu ja Ro warna Mujhe guilty lagega ..'
Virat said to him so that he should enjoy.

'Virat u also come' said Yuvi coming out from the pool.

'Nahi Yuvi Sir I am okay' said Virat.

'Aeee don't call me Sir .. call me Yuvi pa as Rohit does and upar se u are punjabi na .. Yuvi pa thik hai'
Yuvi said suddenly feeling so old when Virat called him Sir.

'Okay Yuvi Pa' said Virat smilingly.

'Waise I think hume Virat ka bhi nickname rakhna chahiye' said Mahi entering into the conversation.

'Ha wo toh hai .. u sit here with him... mai Ro ko leke ja raha hu.. ache se soch .. Waise bhi tu acha nahi khel raha .. meri team haar rahi hai' whined Yuvraj and dragged Ro from there.

Mahi sat beside Virat and saw how he is admiring the team bonding.

'Don't worry u will fit in very quickly.. u just have to open up a little'
Mahi said looking at him and Virat was shocked that how he got to know what he was thinking.

'Bhai aapko kaise pata mai yeh soch raha tha'
Virat asked confused.

'I can see it in your eyes .. they are expressive u know .. they shine when u feel happy and loved'
Mahi said.

Virat got so overhelmed by that he just hugged him in delight.

'Chalo now finish ur juice' said Mahi telling him to drink it.

Virat drank it and showed Mahi the glass indicating he finished it.

'U are too cute' Mahi said pulling his cheeks.

'Bhai cheeks mat pull karo' whined Virat rubbing it.

'Kyu na pull karo .. kitne cute hai' said Mahi teasing him more.

'Ha I will call u Cheeku .. itne cute se cheeks with ur ears out .. it perfectly suits u'
Mahi said him ruffling his hair.

Virat just smiled at that warmth he was receiving from Mahi ..

'Kya hua acha nahi laga nickname.. nahi bhi laga hoga toh bhi I will call u this' said Mahi which made Virat smile.

'Nahi bhai .. it feels really nice..' said Virat.

Mahi hugged him seeing all the innocence in his eyes hearing that nickname.

'Thanks Bhai' mumbled Virat in that hug.

'Bhai ko thanks bol raha hai Cheeku .. u know u don't have to worry about anything .. kuch bhi chahiye ho .. anything u want to share .. u can come to me' said Mahi lovingly..

'I will Bhai' said Virat laying his head on his shoulder.

'Bhai aapko pata hai .. Ro takes care of me so much .. he is very nice .. I never got that care u know'
Said Virat emotionally

'I know .. but don't worry now u will get double and lots of love and care.. u completely deserve it Cheeku'
Mahi said holding him closer.

Virat just leaned more onto him.
