Stefan and Kayla arrive to the party about an hour and a half into it
"You and these damn walks"
"They're relaxing" Stefan shrugged

"Relaxing my ass. Now Caroline's gonna try and scold me"
Stefan wrapped his arm around the girl "Next time I'll walk faster"
Kayla rolled her eyes and shrugged his arm off "I'm going to get a drink"
"Juice boxes only" Stefan called out as the girl walked off sticking her middle finger up over her shoulder

Stefan tunes into Elena and Bonnies conversations when Caroline walks up to him
"Hey! You made it!"
"I did"
"Well, let's get you a drink" the blonde smirks

Stefan glances around "Well, I'm-"

His sentence cuts off as he disappears
"Oh, come on" Caroline frowns before walking off to find Kayla

Meanwhile in the woods by the party Jeremy stood with Vicki
"I didn't need your help"

Jeremy scoffed "It seems like you did"
The Oldest Donovan rolled her eyes as she started to walk further into the trees "He was just drunk"

Grabbing her arm gently, Jeremy stopped the girl from walking as she stumbled
"I'm drunk. Am I throwing myself at you?"

"No, you're worse. You want to talk to me, get to know me, see into my soul and screw and screw and screw until you're done with me, all while you talk to Kayla"

"Is that what you think?" Jeremy let go of her arm as Vicki started to walk again
"That's what I know"

Underneath the gazebo Kayla and Caroline stood talking to each other

"We were talking and then he just disappeared" The blonde friend pouted

Kayla tilted her head as she leaned against the support beam "Boo...it doesn't look like he's interested. You deserve so much more, not that Stefan isn't a good person, he's just hyper focused on Elena"

"Yea Elena"
"No. Dont do that"
"Do what?"
"Don't act dumb either. I can read you like a picture book"
"What?!"

Kayla stood up straight and stood directly in front of Caroline
"This little comparing yourself to Elena thing needs to stop. You are such an amazing person Care and I promise I'm not trying to invalidate your feelings because you are entitled to them but I refuse to stand here and let you put yourself down"

Caroline smiled with teary eyes "You don't think I'm shallow?"
"No you aren't but if you were, I'm a hating bitch so who am I to judge"

The two girls chuckled and gave one another a side hug when Kayla pulled back "I'm gonna go get another drink, you want anything? Actually never mind, you get water"

As the Daniels-Salvatore approached the Cooler she saw Jeremy chugging whatever was in his red solo cup struggling to keep his balance
"Might wanna slow down Hotshot"

Jeremy looked at her and scoffed causing Kayla to frown "Okay attitude"
"Not now Kayla"

Raising an eyebrow Kayla rolled her eyes and continued to get herself and Caroline a water "Geez just tryna make sure your straight"
"Maybe mind your business"

The girl takes a second to stare at the boy before replying
"....I guess Vicki decided she didn't want drug dick and you're taking that anger out on me?"
"Fuck off Kayla"
"Mmhmm bye Jeremy, get home safely or don't"

The skirt wearing teen headed off to find Caroline had just got done talking to Stefan

"Hey boo..."

Caroline looks at Kayla with a frown holding her hand out for the water bottle
"Thank you...I saw you talking to Jeremy...you okay?"
"As cute as he is...I don't do attitudes, not when i've got a big enough one for 3 people to share" Kayla shrugged as she sipped her water before adding "What about you? I saw Stefan leaving"
