Okay I've decided the chapters are going to be short so I can update more frequently. I am going to hopefully be putting out chapters every day, or every other day if all goes well.

Foot steps can be heard as I ignore them, assuming it is another doctor, when two strong arms wrap around me, pulling me into a firm chest. Whirling around, I'm met with two ocean blue eyes that carry a storm within them. Happiness fills me, ready to burst, as I stare at him with nothing but love in my own green eyes. He's here. He came back for me.

Tears of joy well up, pouring down my pale skin, as I cling to him for dear life, refusing to let go. I sob into his chest, listening to his strong heart beat, assuring me that he is actually alive, here with me. He cradles me in the safety of his arms, whispering sweet words into my ears. His deep voice vibrating around me, calming my racing heart. Pulling away enough to look up at him, I stare, mesmerized by him.

"I thought you were gone forever."

My trembling voice mumbles.

"You should know I would always come back for you, Layla. They can't keep us apart. I love you so much."

He says before crashing his beautiful plump lips onto my own. I respond immediately, kissing him with everything I have left in me, while my hands find their way to his thick locks. I tug on them, earning a groan that is music to my ears, setting my skin on fire. He nips at my lip, pulling it, letting is snap back in place, before detaching our lips, resting his forehead against my own.

"I could stay here like this forever, but we have to get out of here, my love. Do you trust me?"

Our eyes connected, I nod my head. I trust him with my life.

"Good, come on then."

He interlocks our fingers, pulling me out the room, as we run down hallways, hand in hand. The hospital seems mysteriously empty, but I trust him to keep us safe. We make a left turn, entering a long hallway with a bright light at the end. He turns to me, smiling, before we run towards our escape.

We reach the door as adrenaline rushes through me, freedom only seconds away. The door is shoved open, the bright sunlight momentarily blinding me, as I breathe in the fresh morning air. I turn to him with the largest smile my face can muster, before jumping into his arms, kissing him deeply.

"We did it. We're out."

I pant against his lips, out of breath from running. Confusion fills me when I realize he isn't kissing me back. Looking into his eyes, they are empty, resembling that of a corpse.
